    Can you hear me now?

OK, explain this one to me.

The Chicago Cubs shunned modern technology longer than any of their MLB brethren, refusing to use light bulbs at their games until Aug. 9, 1988 -- more than 40 years after the next-to-last team hosted its first night game.

But wireless communication between the dugout and the bullpen? Oh, we're all over that.

Perhaps the concern was that Cubs manager Dusty Baker was in danger of developing carpal tunnel syndrome from dialing the bullpen the old fashioned way this season.
