BCS Bowl Games- from best to worst

Tuesday, December 12, 2006, 05:41 PM EST [General]

Here are, in my opinion, the BCS Bowl Games in order from worst to first in the must see department.

    WORST TO FIRST

Orange Bowl- Louisville VS Wake Forest

This will be no contest. Louisville win big. Now I know that Wake Forest had a cinderella type season winning the ACC, but the ACC clearly had a down year this year. Louisville's offense is for real, and I don't think Wake Forest can keep it close for more then a half.

    GAME MVP- Brian Brohm

Final Score- Lousville- 49  Wake Forest-21

SUGAR BOWL- LSU VS Notre Dame

How does Notre Dame get a BCS Game. If it weren't for the 3 teams per conferance rule, we would see a much more competitive game here, with LSU VS Wisconsin, even though I think that LSU would still win. Look Notre Dame isn't very good this year. They are obviously not deserving of this game, and will prove it. LSU's Defense is the best that there is. Notre hasn't beating a good team all year, the two that they played they got killed. LSU wins big.

    GAME MVP- LSU Defense

Final Score- LSU- 38 Notre Dame-14

FIESTA BOWL- OKLAHOMA VS BOISE STATE

This game will be very interesting around halftime. Boise State is better then people give them credit for. Now I know they didn't beat anyone spectacular this season, but they won every single game that they played. Utah ran the table a couple of years ago, why not Boise State. Do I think that Boise State could take down a team like Florida or Oklahoma's schedule like the two teams did. No. But for one game at any particular time they can compete with anybody in the nation. At halftime Boise and OU are very close, then Adrian Peterson leads a second half rally.

    GAME MVP-Adrian Peterson

Final Score- Oklahoma-28 Boise State- 21

    ROSE BOWL- MICHIGAN VS USC

Both teams playing in this game where they don't want to be. Bot teams thought that they had a shot at the National Championship headed into the final weekend of the season, but they are both stuck in Pasadena. Anyway, this game will be very high scoring. Michigan with Henne, Hart, Breaston, and Manningham. USC with Booty, Jarrett, Smith, and the RB by committe. Whoever has the ball last will win this one, in a battle between two of the best football progams in the history of college football. I think that Michigan's experiance wins this game for them.

    GAME MVP- Chad Henne

Final Score- Michigan 42 USC- 39 (hahahahahahah aren't I funny)

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP- FLORIDA VS OHIO STATE

Many angry Michigan fans think this game will be a blowout, but it won't be. This game will come down to the wire. I like Florida's overall team speed, and I just flat think that Ohio State is the best team in the country. I don't think that if Florida and Ohio State played a best-of 7 series that Florida would win, but if you give Urban Meyer a month to prepare for a game fireworks are sure to come. Florida with a 4 year starter at QB in Chris Leak. Leak has lead many fourth quarter come-backs in his career at Florida, and has plenty of big game experiance. Percy Harvin, Dallas Baker, Andre Caldwell, and Jemalle Cornelious are just to big of a load to stop on offense. Florida has the top front four in the country, followed with some of the best LBs, in Brandon Siler and Earl Everett. They also have playmakers in their secondary, which is considered to be their weakness. Their names are Ryan Smith who has 8 interceptions, and Reggie Nelson who is a big hitter, and has 6 ints.Chris Leak does it one more time as Florida dominates the first half, Ohio State dominates the second half, and Chris Leak leads a drive to win in the 4th quarter.

    GAME MVP- Chris Leak

Final Score- Florida- 28 Ohio State-24

2007 NFL Draft gives Texans an oppritunity to right the ship

Monday, December 11, 2006, 06:00 PM EST [General]

As you know the Houston Texans struggle. They are one of the bottom feeders of the league. Yesterday the two potential superstars they passed on, Vince Young and Reggie Bush, had big days. Vince of course had the 4th quarter comeback and 39 yard TD run in OT.

The Texans suck at drafting. In five years the best pick that they have ever had was 2nd round MLB DeMeco RyansIn 2007 the Texans have a change to change a history of bad drafting. With the Texans first pick they need to pick a saftey or Offensive Tackle. Two names that stick out in my mind are Reggie Nelson, Saftey from Florida, and Jake Long OT from Michigan. In the second round they could go a few different ways. They could go QB, CB, RB, OLB,(or S or OT whatever one they don't pick first). Hopefully the don't pick a WR. A few names that stick out here are a couple of players from Louisville. There names are Brian Brohm, QB, and Michael Bush RB. For thoose who don't know Bush broke his leg and didn't play the entire year, but in past years has been an animal. The NFL Combine hasn't happened so I don't know the word on where he is supposed to go. If he is expected to go further they need to select Brian Brohm or Earl Everett, OLB Florida. In Round 3 if Bush is still around then you need to pick him. If not and you didn't pick Brohm pick the QB from the Florida Gators, Chris Leak. He is going to be a great player in my opinion. He has all the characteristics of a great QB. Poise, confidence, leadership, accurate arm. Most importantly, he played four years at Florida, and started all of them. He is a winner. The only problem is that if he has a great performance in the National Championship and NFL combine he might not be around here, but because he is small at just 6 foot he still should be.

That is my take on how the Houston Texans should attempt to draft this year. I wrote this because as you can see there too dumb to figure it out themselves.

I still can't believe they passed on Vince and Reggie
