well, here it is! when i said he was one of the best in the world and should be picked up by one of the best teams nobody believed me, i even said after some us fans criticism, that if they didn't want him the italian team could have used him,of course i was joking because he's already playing for the usa team,but i meant that he was good enough to play for italy,today we just got the bombshell that ac milan have picked him up. no doubt they mean for onyewu to take the place of captain maldini who has just retired. i have been watching him play for some time but seeing him play in the confederation cup, i was saying to myself, this guy should have been playing for italy.in him i see the great italian defenders of the past. at ac milan he'll be a great central defender,he will solidify milans defense and with nesta and zambrotta it should be set.i don't see him sitting on the bench ,he is definitely ready for the big time. what a great day for usa soccer!!!onyewu now will open up serie A and probably other european leagues to usa players, that will mean that usa has finally taken off. starting with 2014, usa is a serious contender for the worldcup!!!
