It would appear that Adam 'Pacman' Jones has something to learn about civility and to respect and obey a law enforcement officer's commands. At this unprecedented pace it would appear that Jones on his own will be able to amass enough citiations and arrests to equal those of all the Cincinatti Bengals' players put together.
At last count this has been his sixth arrest since his declaring for the draft and leaving for the NFL. This if anything has bought a great deal of disappointment to the Titans' organization.
It would appear that if Jones continues with his self destructive behavior he'll be making a much quicker than anticipated exit from the NFL than usually desired. This latest incident took place outside a nightclub at which he had been in attendance with a female friend. What transpired after that is open to discussion as it is alleged Jones was drunk and disorderly. A disagreement took place between Jones and another female whom he accused of stealing his pocket book. It's been said that he verbally abused the female using profanities and physically pushed her. The police was called and statements were taken wherein Jones was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was arrested and taken in for booking. Upon his release , after a bond of $ 750 had been posted . Jones chose to characterize the incident as just another case of racial profiling by the police and the fact that they had not chosen to further investigate the allegation of the theft of his pocket book. In statements provided by the staff of the nightclub where the incident took place they have stated the theft may well have taken place but it was done by another patron of the club.
Where this latest incident leaves the relationship between Jones and the Titans is a matter of conjecture. Coach Jeff Fisher now has to consider the possibilities surrounding the star cornerback on this Titans' team. Another incident will no doubt draw the ire of the NFL and their intervention in taking action against the player who at no time has shown contrition for any of the prior acts for which he's been charged. Fisher has however chosen to sit Jones out for tomorrow's pre-season friendly, and has publicly stated that the player's behavior does not meet the standard expected within the organization. From the Titans' point of view they can ill afford to have Jones commit another transgression because then a decision will have to be made as to whether or not they cut him and look to recoup the signing bonus.
Logically this would appear to be the most prudent step to take as it's a way of ensuring that they're not liable for any of his future actions.

Since his release by the Denver Broncos , Maurice Clarett's troubles show no signs of abating . As witnessed by his latest arrest of which he'd been charged with being in possession of four guns all unlicensed and failing to obey the commands of a law enforcement officer after leading them on a high speed pursuit chase in surburban Columbus, Ohio. As an officer was approaching Clarett's vehicle for making an illegal U turn , he was told to shut off the engine. Clarett chose to do otherwise and a chase ensued over a distance of some 5 miles before coming a crashing halt at an apartment complex. Clarett had to be restrained by the officers present at he incident as he was armed with the weapons inside of the vehicle, unbeknown to the officers at the time. Furthermore Clarett himself was said to be wearing a bullet proof jacket, which lead to the officers using pepper spray to finally restrain him. The use of a taser did not subject Clarett to the desired effect.
Since his arrest and arraignment Clarett was not subject to release and bail was set at $ 1.5m and he still remains behind bars awaiting trial. He's had to undergo psychiatric evaluation at a mental health facility at a judge's request .
But what has become apparent about Clarett's behavior in a statement that has been attributed to him. Whereby he claims in order to maintain his 'street cred' he had to maintain this hard core personna to facilitate the publicity needed to fuel sales of his upcoming release of a rap CD on which he is a performer. So at the expense of putting the public at risk he needed to enact his own PR stunt.
