Terrell Owens ain't no broke nigga' but it could well be said that he's a gold digger. Because lately that's what he's been about ! Not content with having arrived in Dallas and signed a contract to play for the illustrious Cowboys . It would seem that Owens is up to his old tricks once again. The candle is burning as we watch this soap opera play out for all the public . The characters have been cast with each having an integral role to play , with Owens being the central focus of attention. On the periphery we have Bill Parcells assuming the role of coach and the erstwhile Jerry Jones as the bewildered owner. There's also the omnipresent press stirring the pot, adding to the confusion of this melodrama.

It's all well and good with Owens addressing the press about the team and what he envisage for the year but privately it's all been abut him and nobody else. Bill Parcells most certainly will have discussed the situation with Jerry Jones and tacitly layed out what he expects of Owens and Owens most certainly knows this . Parcells addresses the press with a modicum of respect and a little sarcasm thrown in for good measure when discussing Owens. He's adamant that Owens will play but only when his injury has totally cleared up. But one has to wonder who's playing who at the moment.
Jerry Jones as the owner can't be oblivious to the occurances happening at present and even though he remains ambivalent towards the situation , privately there has to be a great deal of concern. We don't know what this must be doing to the morale of the players, as they if anyhting do not want to see a repeat of what went on in Philadelphia. It hasn't yet reached that stage nor is it likely to as the Cowboys may well have insured themselves against any reprucussions of Owens' by having something written into his contract. Will Owens tread thhe tightrope carefully ? That's something that only he can answer and we can only watch and wait in deperation for the outcome.
All parties are on board as they want only nothing but success for the Cowboys but once the season is over everything is sure to be revisited and the season reassessed. For the Cowboys this season isn't just about winning as they're a peredetrmined favorite in the NFC and going to the championship game . But winning the Superbowl , adding to their legacy and re-establishing the franchise as a force to be reckoned with. Owens wants to be a part of this but he has to understand if he's to achieve this he's got to do this as being part of the team. He's also got to remember there's no " I" in team.
