Yale  graduate  Angela Bassett  is  perhaps  best  known  for  her  portrayal  of  music  icon   Tina  Turner  for  which  she  was   Oscar nominated.   Since  that  illustrious  portrayal    Bassett   gone on  to  appear  in  several  films .      This   year   Bassett and  her  husband   Courtney Vance  had their   first  child.

Toccara   Jones  was  the  plus  sized  model  who  appeared  on  Tyra  Banks'  produced   show  America's  Next Top Model.   Jones  was  one of  the  finalists   but  ended   up not winning.   She's    since  gone  on  to  be  a  presenter for BET  music  oriented  programming.

 Gabrielle  Union  the   well   known  actress  has  appeared  in   numerous  films.   But  is  perhaps  best  known   for her  portrayal of  a cheerleader  in  the  hit    movie  Bring   It  On   and  then  playing  Martin  Lawrence's   younger  sister  in  the  sequel  hit  movie   Bad  Boys  II .  Union  dropped out  of  college  at  UCLA  while studying  law  to  pursue  a  career  in  modelling  but was  spotted  by  an  agent  who  persuaded  her  to  try  out  for  an  acting  role and  the  rest as  they  say  is  history.

Actress   Stacy   Dash  is  best  known  to  many as   the  character  Cher's   best  friend  in  the  movie   and  tv  serial  Clueless .  However   the  forty  year  old  Dash   is  a budding   entrepeneur who in  patrnership    with her  cousin  Damon  is  behind   Dash Media  Interactive  a  small  media   based  entertainment  company. While  not  very  active  in  movies , Dash  still  maintains an  active  interest in  her  first  love as time  permits.

Vivica   A  Fox  is  perhaps  best  known  for  her  role  as  Jasmine  Dubrow in  the  blockbuster  movie  Independence Day,  but  her  most  recent  movie  role  in  the  Tarantino  directed  series  Kill  Bill  volumes  I &  II  shed  new  light  on  Fox's personna  wherein  she  played  a  deadly  assassin  named  Vernita Green  aka  'Copperhead'.   More  in  line  with  the  physical  necessities   required  she  spent   six  months training  in  forms  of  the  martial  arts  and  using  a  samurai  sword.  Fox   is  certainly  a  cut  above  the rest.
