stripped of everything it once was (basically the only thing that's different is absence of the TV, therefor the room's livelihood), I've got an episode of Run's House cued up, and I'm glaring at the Pumpkin Pie that I abstain from throughout the year just so it's that much better on the holidays. Advice: Don't take to Southern California's freeways on the day before Thanksgiving.
It's good to be back. I actually got to watch a Lakers road game! (explanation of my Lakers TV situation), though we did have an awful DVR mishap that involved finding out the score with 12 seconds left in the game, before we started watching it. I waited or my dad to get home from work to watch the game. I really enjoy watching ball with my dad. He's a lifelong Lakers fan and there's nothing I love more than random analysis, or an occasional story about how he scored Wilt Chamberlain's autograph.
Speaking of TV, here's what I will be doing on this extended weekend (aside from the research paper due Monday):
Thursday T-GIV
NFL
9:30am
Green Bay @ Detroit
The 9-1 Packers go up against the 'best we've seen in awhile' Lions, in game one of the T-GIV festivities. Thanks a lot East Coast! I'll be lucky to wake up in time for kickoff.
NFL
1:15pm
NY Jets @ Dallas
Should be a thriller... a 42-0 thriller.
NFL
5:15pm
Indianapolis @ Atlanta
The Colts should be able to rebound here... by 750 points.
Friday B-FRI
NBA
4:30pm
Lakers @ Boston
The outcome of this game will tell us a lot about the future of the Lakers' season.
NCAAFB
6:00pm
Boise St. @ Hawaii
The battle of the good teams with weak schedules! The WAC title is on the line for both teams, and it's just a shame that the novelty of this game won't include the smurf turf...
Saturday Suburban Christmas Lights Putting Up Day
NCAAFB
5:00pm
(3) Missouri @ (2) Kansas
Can you say BEST.GAME.EVER?
[edit] 6:43pm: I can't believe I forgot about the A-State, USC game. This is really shaping out to be an awesome contest.
