After watching Adam Eaton and another enormous and embarrassing failure. I thought "if there's any optimism, at least he's not cheating. He is genuinely a horrid horrid baseball player. He gets paid 24 million dollars to go out there, make a fool of himself for about 90 minutes, come out of the game and give an interview after the game where he speaks freakishly low.See, the man is a "mumbler". Last night's interview sort of went like "i thought i pitched the ball well but it turns out i was wrong mumble mumblemumble twenty four million dollars mumblemumble"
Eaton. I bet this pitch he tossed ended up being horrible.
Then I thought about the one guy who admitted steroid use that played for Philadelphia.
Jeremy Giambi.
Only for my baseball team, does a guy admit to cheating, but somehow, even while using "performance enhancers" managed to be a failure of biblical proportions..
The Don Swayze Effect again. Even Jeremy can't cheat as well as his older brother Jason.
My one optimistic moment came, with the Eagles signing Reno Mahe on Tuesday, September 11th. I thought of writing "RENO 911" but thought it'd be in bad taste. But then, low and behold, this morning, a sports network ended up making that joke anyway.
Everyone is bashing Britney on the MTV awards, but really, the Backstreet Boys have a new song out? Do we really need to hear more? I figured they'd said it all with "I Want It That Way". Know your enemies.
It's just too easy. The jokes are all too easy. in this picture.
until next time,
TIM
