I saw Serena's outburst at the line judge. It wasn't even close to being a classic McEnroe temper tantrum.

Serena let her frustration get the better of her. She threatened to shove the tennis ball down that line judge's throat. Serena rarely lets her anger show. It was out of character to see her single out that judge. The line jugde was a small asian woman. I hardly think race was the issue here. The line judge made a valid call on a very minor error.

Your blog sounds like you may have jumped to conclusions. Serena hasn't contested the ruling. She hasn't filed any complaints regarding the incident. She's apologized and explained her side of what happened. She's also said that the incident will be something she learns from. You can't ask for anything more than that.

BTW, to back up my hypothesis I submit Charlie Wise. He is neither black nor female, but he is fat. Look at the flack he gets, and whats the worst he's ever done? Maybe let the grass grow too long to slow down Reggie Bush. So what if it resulted in Desmond Reeds knee being blown out and never being able to fulfill his career dreams. What did you expect Charlie to do, get a push mower and mow the entire ND football field himself? Have you looked at him lately? That would have surely given him a heart attack, then who would everyone make fun of, Oprah, or Rosie O'Donnell? Leave us fat people alone y'all, you'll give us indigestion!

I totally disagree with WHY there is a case of prejudice here. That you are a Black man I am sure your perspective is usually from that point of view, seeing those injustices.

I am not black, but I am fat. I am totally convinced that she is being discriminated against not because she is black, or a woman, but because she is fat. People don't like fat people, and when I walk down the street there are always snide comments, rude gestures, and off color "butt" jokes. It is a shame we live in a society where people can't eat to their hearts content, or explosion, whichever comes first, but that's the way it is. And who is blogging for fat peoples rights? Noone, thats who. We are the one minority it is still politically correct to make fun of, and that's the truth. Well, fat people and white male republicans, but they don't count.

It's true; If Connors or McEnroe were fat I am sure that much more would have been made of their outbursts. Instead of being in Adam Sandler comedies they would be cast in ax murder cannabalistic horror stories I am sure.

Then again, maybe it's just not cool to tell people you're goin to rip their heads off and poop down their neck... no, darn it, it's cuz she's fat; that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

There is a double standard, get over it. Serena Williams is a lot more frightening than John McEnroe or Jimmy Connors. The thing to do is let it pass, besides we're talkin bout tennis!It is easier to slam Serena than to consider "The foot fault conspiracy". Or maybe Serena really hates to lose. The story should not have legs. Either way it's all laughable.
