Michael Vick signed a contract with the Eagles, and I say good for him ,and once again another person getting a second chance.Im all for it,see I work for the Board of Social Services and we service ex cons ,ex murderers all the time, and when I complete a application and help them get cash assistance ,food stamps, medicaid, and housing I wish them well on there future endeavors. The is no outrage or protesting outside the building. The people of Philadelphia live in one of the most violent cities in America where murder is like drinking water ,a normal everyday occurence and most of them could care less. Now the dog killer Michael Vick is comming to town and there comparing him to Jeffrey Dahmer and Charles Manson, yes he was wrong for killing dogs, but he is just like that dude who did 20 years and is now out ,and looking to start over, but theres one difference the dude that did 20 he killed a human being not a animal.Dogs are cool, but a animal can not be compared to person, this is my opinion.
We humans kill animals for sport and eat slaughtered meat daily, but thats okay, because we murder them in a humane way. That is bs to the first degree, human beings don't need to eat meat to survive.Once again Vick was wrong, but he deserves a second chance, what he is supposed to sit home for the next 50 years doing nothing ,America just became more forgiving and a better place ,because if a rapist, pedophile, serial killer, can get a second chance ,why not a dog killer.
Prospect
Dog fighting is cruel. It's not a 'sport' and it's not 'recreational'. Vick knew it was against the law. He chose to break the law. He was caught, and he was found guilty. He was sentenced to serve time in prison, fined, and mandatory community service. He's abided by the terms, and we need to respect that.
LauranazPeople make mistakes. Some are horrific. People that learn their lesson won't become repeat offenders.
Vick is paying his debt to society. He's earned the right to come back into society and pursue his goals.
