Dog fighting is cruel. It's not a 'sport' and it's not 'recreational'. Vick knew it was against the law. He chose to break the law. He was caught, and he was found guilty. He was sentenced to serve time in prison, fined, and mandatory community service. He's abided by the terms, and we need to respect that.

People make mistakes. Some are horrific. People that learn their lesson won't become repeat offenders.

Vick is paying his debt to society. He's earned the right to come back into society and pursue his goals.

Here we go again, the comparison of hunting (a legal pastime) to the torture and killing of animals (illegal) for the shere enjoyment of seeing them suffer, not to mention raising and fighting them in what amounts to the most brutal life an animal could live. Comparing those actions is what is BS. If you work in Social Services you must realize how high the rate of residivism is, yet you make it sound as though everyone that gets out of jail turns over a new leaf. I had a neighbor who was married to a Heroin Jukie and a bank robber, after serving only a few years he came back to my neighborhood. Guess what? He went straight back to doing what he went to jail for and our neighborhood was no longer the safe little burgh it had been.

Everyone doesn't "deserve" a second chance as if it were in the bill of rights or something, many of us never get a first chance.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against the Eagles signing Vick, but it is purely a buisiness thing and not anything Vick earned. What bugs me is the way people justify it. You don't have to explain why he "deserves" it, it isn't about that. It's about the Eagles thinking he can make them a better team, even though I don't agree with them they do have the right to make that decision.

I think the Donovan Mcnabb interview was somewhat amusing. Remember the last player DM "lobbied" for? I believe his initials were T.O. or something like that. Remember how that one worked out for you Donovan?

BTW, that neighbor, he overdosed and left a really screwed up 13 year old daughter. Second chances can sometimes be a horrible thing for those affected by the 2nd chancer.

I am so excited the EAGLES signed Vick, I am part of the "Forgiving Society". Now maybe we will be able to take it all the way. Count'em two kickass quarterbacks... OH YEA!!!

It's great he's back.

I'm pleased to see him get a chance to get on track on a correct life.

Sucks he's gone from the Falcons but it was understandable.

I hope he does well with the Eagles.
