shut up you are to long winded use those hands for somthing else"

I would be glad to do just that! You misused the word "to" before "long winded". It should be "too".

And I will be as long winded as Fox Sports allows me to be on this forum.

Too long winded for you? Skip my comments! I am certainly not forcing you to read MY opinion.

    Bashing Oklahoma without the FACTS...

Monday, July 7, 2008, 09:24 PM EST [General]

    "I mean you guys honestly
truely, really have nothing to be proud of. I mean i'm not even hating. But when ever i hear of Okie's talking about how great they are... i picture those ugly fat chicks who think they're hot #### I mean everyone has met that ugly #### chick that just thinks she's the #### Well thats oklahoma's hideous state that for some strange out of this world reason....thinks they're the ####

    Oklahoma has NOTHING
no mountains, no ocean, no nightlife, very few attractive girls."

    Well, McArthurAutzen,
You might check your facts before you speak in the future lest you make yourself look silly.

Yes, it is true that I am the typical and average looking Lady in Oklahoma. I never said I look like a supermodel nor would I wish to look like one. However some very basic facts about OKLAHOMA are:

Oklahoma has 43 colleges and universities.

The highest point in the state is Black Mesa in Cimarron County (4,973 feet); the lowest is due east of Idabel in McCurtain County (287 feet).

Oklahoma has more man-made lakes that any other state, with over one million surface areas of water and 2,000 more miles of shoreline than the Atlantic and Gulf coasts combined.

Oklahoma is the third largest natural gas-producing state in the nation.

Oklahoma ranks fourth in the nation in the production of all wheat, fourth in cattle and calf production; fifth in the production of pecans; sixth in peanuts and eight in peaches.

Oklahoma's FOUR (Count them McArthurAutzen!) mountain ranges include the Ouachitas, Arbuckles, Wichitas, and the Kiamichis.

Forests cover approximately 24 percent of Oklahoma...

So we do have mountains, forests, over one million surface areas of water and 2,000 more miles of shoreline than the Atlantic and Gulf coasts combined and we do have recreational water and land sports. Actually we have quite a number of Yacht Clubs and Yacht owners and other types of clubs and activities that other states have to offer.

So we do have some things to offer.

I have never bashed another state. Each state has their own uniqueness and pros and cons. I have never intimated that Oklahoma is the be all and end all of the United States. I do, however, defend that Oklahoma has a number of great qualities and is not the lame, backward state that people like yourself waste time proclaiming on here.

Certainly your are entitled to your opinion - but when you spout so called "facts" - check them first. There will be some people who will check your accuracy and some of us will call you on it.
    ;)

    Seattle/OKC Battle

Monday, July 7, 2008, 12:33 AM EST [Seattle SuperSonics]

    Business is business!

Seattle could have tried harder to work with the Sonics owner if Seattle truly wanted to keep the Sonics.

Oklahomans worked hard while the Hornets were here to make it work for them EVEN though we KNEW they almost certainly would go back to N.O. .  We fell in love with the Hornets even though at the time they came to us they did not have the best win/loss ratio.  Under our extended hands of help and our support - the team began to flourish.  It is true that the Hornets made that happen, however I truly believe they were encouraged by our overwhelming support of them and our clean city style.

Sure OKC is not a perfect city -I don't know of any perfect cities - however we do offer alot of support and fan base, mild weather, and being centrally located, we also make it closer to get to most other parts of the country where team players may have their main home.

So if you feel the need to use foul language and curse - bear in mind that if YOU were not an active part of the solution to try and keep the Sonics in Seattle, then you really have no one to blame but yourself.

I was an active part in the Sonics coming to OKC as I voted to pay the sales tax to build and support the arena they need AND I will buy tickets and cheer them on whether they are in first place or last place.

For those who are not personally familiar with OKC here are our Vison, Mission, and Core Values Statements:
