Jeremy roenick is still playing? What?

Thursday, September 27, 2007, 09:43 AM EST [Jeremy Roenick]

Did i misread the headline or something? It said Roenick signs a 1-year deal with San Jose. I guess the last 2 seasons didn't really convince him to retire. Well I for one have to give him his props to comeback. He wants to get 500 goals (should have got it by now), and win a stanley cup (something that he probably won't get). I don't want to bash the guy, but I really think that he has played on some bad teams (Chicago, Phoneix, LA Kings, and Philadelphia). He had one chance in 1992, but Pittsburgh was better than his Chicago Blackhawks that season. He nearly did it with Philadelphia, but it was not meant to be. Roenick' is a media darling when it comes to issues with the NHL. He would make a great analyst some day. But bottom line, I don't see him winning a stanley cup with the Sharks. They have too many young players, and not enough veterans. One of the reasons they continue to be ousted during the playoffs the last 2 seasons. There is no doubt that Roenick will help the Sharks in any way. Besides he has something to prove to himself, and the league. As much as I want to see him win a championship in San Jose, I just don't see it! But if he proves wrong, than so be it

    Rex Grossman

Thursday, September 27, 2007, 09:25 AM EST [General]

Well Bears fans, you finally done something right, for once. But this was long over due on benching Grossman for Griese. This should have happen last season, what took so long? I for one would blame his coach Lovie Smith for this. But the coach got it right, even though its 1 season too late. They are 1-2 (won-loss record) right now, but still have a chance to save your season. Sadly, i do not see a return to the super bowl this year. Heck! I really did not think ya'll had a chance anyway. Griese is no better, but I don't understand you Bear fans wanting this guy to be your starting quarterback. He was not any good in Denver, Miami, or Tampa Bay (who have a bad history of keeping Quarterbacks). So I really don't see the Bears doing anything this season. Green Bay and Detroit are off to good starts already, and I think it will be tough to catch them at this point. Well Bear fans, get ready for a bad season. Hope the Cubs don't break your hearts like in 2003 (sorry! can't let that one go)

    Milton Bradley

Thursday, September 27, 2007, 09:12 AM EST [San Diego Padres]

I do not believe this guy, tried to go after an umpire. But that is what you get with a player like Milton Bradley. The umpire (Winters) here is totally to blame, and he gets suspended by MLB for the rest of the season. I find this very interesting that the umpire would provoke a player to come after him. Bradley on the other hand, may have cost his team a bat for the postseason (if they are still in it). But bradley can't seem to get his head screwed on at all. That was the case in Cleveland, LA Dodgers, Oakland, Montreal (can't imagine), and now San Diego. i mean what is wrong with this guy. I for one cannot figure this guy out. He got all the talent in the world, but he is a head case. Now San Diego is really gonna miss this guy (if they go to the postseason). Won't matter because they are going to get beat anyway. i predict Colorado will get in the postseason, they deserve it more than San Diego and Arizona put together. By the way, don't arizona and colorado play each other this weekend. That should be fun!!!

    Frye gets traded

Thursday, September 13, 2007, 10:10 AM EST [Cleveland Browns]

Wow! Charlie what a performance, i really have to commend on that performance vs. Pittsburgh. For a second there I could have sworn that was about the worst display at the quarterback position that I have ever seen. This is how I would sum up Fyre's play! Gets pulled in the 2nd Quarter, in favor of Derek Anderson (who did no better). 2 days later gets traded to seattle, and there is a stupid and pointless poll going around about when to put Brady Quinn in. That will not happen unless they really want him to play now. You know the Browns have not have had a stable QB since Tim Couch. Ouch! Browns fans i hate to say it, but it will be a long season for you. I guess all cleveland sports fans should look forward to the Indians getting beat in the playoffs in October. Well see ya on the flip side, and keep them dogs on the sideline. ruff! ruff!

Raiders swtiching QB's before the 1st game

Thursday, September 13, 2007, 09:56 AM EST [General]

I would like to commend the Oakland Raiders for being slopply, in there selection of picking Josh McNown instead of Daunte Culpepper. Oakland still did not win the game, but at least JaMarcus Russell is in camp. So that is the good news, what took so long?? I am wondering how this is going to play out for the Raiders. Culpepper had the better preseason than McNown, but yet they still went with McNown. I really don't understand that one. Is there any smart fans out there that can explain this one? Huh?? Anybody?
