NFL Europe is gone!!

Well I never thought I would be writing about NFL Europe! Well the fine spring league is gone. I am very surprise that the NFL owners are pulling the plug on this league. Now everybody has to wonder if there will ever be a minor league for the NFL. It is a shame that this league was losing 30 million dollars each season. That is true folks! I am going to miss NFL Europe for its rich traditon, its history, players, Jack Bicknell (most wins as coach), the teams, and more. This league had it all, it was better than hockey

Mike Keenan as Calgary's new coach

Well Mike Keenan is at it again! this will be his 8th coaching job in the NHL. Well all the coaching stops have ended ugly. I really hope Calgary is getting there money worth. I wonder what Jim Playfair did to lose his coaching gig. I mean he got the Flames into the playoffs. They did well in the regular season. There playoff series with Detroit was a very strange 6 game series. Well Mike Keenan has won a stanley cup (with the Rangers in '94), and lost 3 other times. But lately his other coaching jobs have not gone so well. This is an unusual situation, unless Calgary feels they are going to turn it around. I hope that is the case, but this one will be fun to watch.

Conference Finals Preview (NHL)

Here is my predictions for who will go to the stanley cup finals: East Conference OTT v. BUF This series should be a great one, ottawa is really starting to look like a team poised to win a stanley cup with there great play in the playoffs. Buffalo survives a scare from the New York Rangers in 6 games. Buffalo got some offense for once, just kidding. Ryan Miller is playing well, but i will be dissapointed with one thing. No rematch between Martin Biron and Ray Emery! I predict 7 games in this one with Buffalo winning the series West Conference DET v. ANA I am afraid this series could be one sided because Anaheim is so good in the playoffs. But they should not take Detroit lightly. Detroit still has good players on there squad. Anaheim has good defenseman like Chris Pronger and Scott Niedimeyer. Detroit still has Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datysuk. This series should go 6 games with Anaheim winning the seires Stay Tuned For a Stanley Cup Preview @ the end of Both series!!!! Tags:
Miami QB situation

Oh, I am enjoying this soap opera (no pun intended). Why is the Dolphins still waiting on Trent Green. They already have a quarterback in Daunte Culpepper. By the way, Culpepper is still not healthy after all this time. That was a great trade Miami, good luck trying to make the playoffs this season. They have other young quarterbacks that they may want to give a look, in case they don't get Trent Green (still in Kansas City). They have Cleo Lemon and John Beck (who!!) Exactly my point in this!! Miami really went backwards during the draft, when they could have taken Brady Quinn form Norte Dame. Well Miami fans ya'll better hope for a miracle, because this could be a long season for the Dolphins!!!

Better Coverage of the NHL

Hey I know the majority does not care for hockey In the USA. But somebody has got to say something about the lack of coverage on VERSUS and/or NBC. There is not enough games on TV, during the season. Somebody needs to go up to Gary Bettman (the COMMISH) and tell him you want more hockey games on TV. One more thing, there is definitely a lack of radio coverage as well. Can we address that issue as well. I am going to suggest that there be a summit, or a ceminar about hockey and media. Would anybody support that let me know
