This was long overdue, Lions fans. About 3 years overdue to be a fact. Only 31 wins in 7+ years during Millen's watch. However, I think he is the worst GM in pro football history. But not the worst GM in sports. That distinction belongs to Mike Milbury (former GM of the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders), he was no better than Millen. Millen got to pick the last 3 coaches, who were terrible. First round busts like Charles Rodgers, Joey Harrington (who I cannot stand by the way), and a host of other busts. Overall, this will go down as the worst tenure in the franchise's history. Matt Millen should never be a GM again. By the way I still cannot stand any sports team from Detroit. There i said it
It is only a matter of time, before he is fired. But I cannot blame all of this on Sampson. Indiana should have known that this coach was a bad seed. He did the same stunt at Oklahoma, and nearly got away with it. Sampson's team is currently 21-4 (won-loss record) and they are talking about no postseason ban for Indiana. His chances are very slim to retain his job, at this point. I don't feel sorry for Kelvin Sampson, because he has only himself to blame for this mess. The NCAA is really going to give it to Indiana Basketball, if and when it happens. Bob Knight is laughing all the way to the bank, as we speak.
