Florida Panthers assistant GM Randy Sexton stated last week among the players he hoped to re-sign was forward Radek Dvorak, and today he got his wish.
TSN reports the Panthers re-signed Dvorak, 32, to a two-year, $3.4 million contract, which breaks down as $1.7 million against the Panthers cap.
Dvorak is no longer the second line scorer he once was but he’s proven to be a good checking forward with the Panthers who’s also capable of chipping in offensively, with 31 points in 81 games last season.
