Regarding the Recchi trade, going to Boston with Recchi is a second round pick in 2010 while the Bruins are shipping defenseman Matt Lashoff and right winger Martins Karsums to the Lightning.
Recchi, 41, was third in the Lightning in scoring with 45 points in 62 games. He may have lost a step but he's still a valuable depth scorer, and on a team like the Bruins could be a valuable addition, particularly with his years of playoff experience and leadership.
Lashoff played 16 games with the Bruins this season, Karsums 6 games. Both had a point during their limited playing time. Both are young players in their early twenties and for a Lightning team with a depleted farm system they'll provide valuable depth, with the possibility of challenging for roster sports on the Lightning in the future.
- Regarding the supposed Moore to Chicago trade, the Maple Leafs have denied this report.
