NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell informed Brett Farve that he will be reinstated. I have no clue what this will do to the Packers, now that the starting QB role is going to be a fight between him and Aaron Rodgers. After a long and drawn out battle with the Packers organization and the NFL, its about time.
This now leaves the question of who will be starting for the Packers. When Favre "retired", Aaron Rodgers was going to fill in for him, and now I'm wondering who will end up starting for the Packers. As of now, I'd want favre to start, because he is more experienced and he is a team leader. However, Aaron Rodgers deservers some playing time, because he has been training to be a starter and he should get more playing time that he has in previous years with the Packers.
I'm just gald that this whole episode is coming to an end. For the past three weeks, all I've heard on the news and sportscenter is Brett Favre. There are still rumors that he will be traded, but the Packers have made it clear that they don't want to release him. I heard somewhere that he may be headed to the New York Jets.
Clearly Favre did not put a lot of thought into choosing retirement, if he wanted to return just a month later. This whole issue has been drawn out, and the decision to reinstate him should have been made a long time ago.
If I had to choose Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre to start, I'd probably choose favre. He has a lot of experience playing fotball and he is still a talented QB. He has done alot for the packers organization, and I still think that he can be a valuable asset to the team.
Feel free to post some comments with your opinions of the Brett Favre situation.
