So as I continue to try and get somewhere on here I discovered exactly what you were talking about and I agree with you. I think all this new format is about is cramming these freakin' writers down our throats...literally. On one page I found there were 16 blog posts and 14 of them belonged to their hockey guy...Spector. There are at least two other guys writing on here doing the same thing...for Fox Sports. They never respond to comments and to me that takes the personal aspect of blogging out of it...which is why I do this. I guess the site beongs to Fox and they can do what they want to with it but...this blows! Also the two bloggers who do every half inning of MLB games...is one person with two identities. Shooting for Super Star Status early I guess, eh?

Clutter and garbage you say? Like the two people who post every half inning of a MLB game. That kind of clutter and garbage? All of a sudden it is like they hammered about 20 sites together because I can't find the majority of the people I've been blogging with for almost 2 years and I've never heard of most of the people I do find. Force fed lame blogs by Fox Sports writers...who still don't comment back to you when you ask them a question. Is Lisa still around? I haven't seen anything from her since this started up. I liked being able to add boggers to my favorites list within the site and can't do that now. Tried to add Reverend Rhythm yesterday...no dice! I updated my profile and have been recognized for that while at the same time I am told when I go to my profile that I haven't updated my status. What the hell does that mean? Crazy stuff, eh?

And perhaps the BIGGEST step backward with the new site is its point system.

Could there be a point system that is more pointless?

All it does is encourage the posting of clutter and garbage, making it harder to find the good stuff as meatheads try to amass meaningless points.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really care about what rank a site gives me, I care about finding insights and entertaining comments about basketball.

Another really lame step backward is how all the previous comments vanish to your view when you click to leave a comment.

Often, the comments we are wanting to make pertain to other comments... why would foxsports make it more difficult to have conversations?

By the way, it appears that you cannot edit a comment once you've posted it, only delete it.

That's not a step forward.

And I haven't tinkered with the "some html is allowed" aspect of these comments yet to see what we can and cannot do, but when I do, it will be annoying because we cannot edit our comments.

As we experiment with html, the things we find that don't work will be posted there for everyone to see until we delete the whole comment, rather than edit and tweak the comment we posted.

Like I said, not everything in the revamp of this site is an improvement which is a shame.
