The Florida Gators are the most dominant athletic program in college athletics period. By winning their second national championship in the last three years in football under Urban Meyer (the best coach in college football) they have added to the legacy left by the basketball team four years ago and the undeniable success of their other sports teams, particularly baseball. It is starting to seem that your safest off season bets should be on the Gators to win in any sport. You probably wont be that far off.
Tim Tebow is the best college player as well as the most dominant in the most perfect system for him. Again, its a fact. Then add on top of that the fact that he has the most explosive runner I have ever seen in Percy Harvin just seems to make things unfair. Which he prooved to us last night by leading the Gators on a fourth quarter drive in which he went 6 for 6 for 70+ yards and the victory sealing TD. And all you skeptics out there who question wheter or not Tebow will be a good pro quarterback, all I can say is watch him play on the big stage. He elevates his game to an untouchable level and finds ways to win everytime. Also, at 6'4" and 240 pounds with a good enough arm...I'll take my chances.
Oh, and lets not forget the most underrated defense in the country. By no means are they the best, but they have lacked the respect that they deserve all year and they showed it last night in one of the most boring national championships I have seen (barring the last 6 minutes of the fourth quarter) by shutting down one of the most powerful offenses college football has ever seen. So my hat goes off to you Florida for doing what you always seem to do when it maters most...win the big ones.
