"When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose." ~ Bob Dylan
For all the drivers that are not in the Chase, there is still work to do. You race for owners points, to assure you get a ride into next years start of the season. You race for 11th place in the standings, and the $1 million dollar prize that goes along with being the best of the rest. When you have both of those things wrapped up like Tony Stewart, you race for fun.
It was that last caution in Atlanta, where Smoke held off that commitment line till the very last moment, and made all the leaders wait with him. It was taking that Bear trophy home. It was dominating the Texas Shoot-Out with two tires. It was firing those six shots in the air. It is nothing but fun for Tony Stewart.
It's interesting to see nothing on the line for the #20. Maybe there is pride riding along side him, or maybe it's the burn of not being able to defend his title, but it doesn't reflect on his face. His smile says it all.
