Five Reasons Why The Eagles Will Dominate The Cowboys

[General]
Yes all you Cowboy fans I said dominate. So go ahead and talk all the
trash you want, but when Monday rolls around and we go in your house
and trash you like a high-school cafeteria your going to wish you
didn't.
Here are my five reasons. 5. Jim Johnson- Yes the Eagles Defensive Coordinator. Against the Browns Romo had all day to throw. I mean he could have taken the snap, ordered a coffee from Starbucks, drinkin the coffee, had a conversation with Jessica about how tuna isn't really chicken, peed his coffee out, and then thrown the ball. You know with the Eagles young, athletic, talented front seven and Ol' Jim's blitzing schemes and tendencies that won't be the case. Romo will be pressured and be forced to throw before he wants which leds to my next reason. 4. The Eagles Secondary- As I said Romo will be forced to throw before he wants and when you throw before you want into a secondary full of playmakers bad things tend to happen. Or good things if you look at it from my standpoint. Asante Samuel, Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown, and Brian Dawkins will all be looking to make big plays when Romo tosses the ball without looking for fear of having his head ripped of by Trent Cole. 3. LJ Smith- You might think third on this list is a little high for LJ but Donovan showed me last week that now LJ is healty, he is by far his favorite red zone target. After struggling mightily in the red zone last year the Eagles looked solid against the Rams. LJ caught one touchdown pass and was targeted several other times inside the 20. The red zone offense may very well determine the game and no one is more important to that than LJ Smith. 2. Desean Jackson- After watching him all preseason and in Week 1 I am ready to call him a bonified playmaker with game breaking ability. He had 106 receiving and 95 punt return yards against the Rams. Two of those punts were almost taken to the house. One he was litterally tripped from the side with no one in front of him and if it wasn't for that shoe string tackle he would have taken it the distance. The other he was pushed out of bounds around the 7 yard line after a solid 60 yard return. Not to mention his fantastic 40 yard reception on the second play of the game. One huge play from Desean, on offense or special teams, and that might be all she wrote for Dallas. 1. Donovan McNabb- A few seasons ago he was hands down a top 3 QB in the league. Three injury plagued years and now he's nothing? No, I don't think so. Two years removed from a torn ACL and he has looked like the Donovan of old times. A fantastic preseason followed by a fantastic opening game. I think he will be extra motivated this season to prove everyone out there who is doubting him wrong. I expect another huge week from #5. Absolute Crap Conference or ACC

[ACC]
I mean when the "best" team in the ACC loses to a "middle of the road" SEC team by 24, and really the score makes it sound closer because Clemson's only touchdown was a CJ Spiller kick return, thats bad. You add in the fact that the "second best" team lost to ECU, no offense to ECU they have a solid football team, but Virginia Tech should beat them every time. Heres how the rest of ACC ( Absolute Crap Conference) faired.
North Carolina State loses by 34 to South Carolina- two middle of the road teams from each conference and looked what happened Wake Forest beats Baylor by 28- Congrats you played Baylor Miami beats Charelston Southern by 45- too bad your gonna lose by 45 when you play Florida next week Georgia Tech beats Jacksonville State by 27- you better win this game Virginia loses by 45 to USC- obviously your not supposed to win this one but you could of kept it under 28 points... oh just kidding Maryland beats Deleware by 7... way too close against Deleware North Carolina beats McNeese State by 8... way too close against McNeese Duke beats James Madison by 24- conference champions anyone... just kidding Boston College beats Kent State by 21- wow shocker (sarcasm) In my opinion the MWC is probably as good as the ACC, maybe even C-USA. What happened to the ACC? Tags:
Sleeper Teams for 2008

[General]
Every year in the NFL there are a couple of teams that shock some people. I'm going to attempt to pick who those teams will be this season and why. But first let me loosely define what a sleeper team is. A team that no one (except the players, coaches, and five biggest fans of that team) thinks can go to the Super Bowl. In the AFC I will pick the Houston Texans. The biggest problem for them is the division they play in. They automatically have six games against playoff teams because they're in the same division as the Colts, Jags, and Titans. Last year they struggled in those games going 1-5. But out of the division they were 7-3, making them an average 8-8 on the season. Another main problem was keeping guys like Andre Johnson and Matt Schaub healthy. Schaub and Johnson only played together four times, but when they did the Texans were 3-1.Both should start the season 100% for the Texans. Protecting the QB has always been an issue in Houston but they have made efforts this offseason to improve their line. They traded for Chris Meyer, a guard who started all 16 games in Denver last season and an upgrade from what Houston had at guard last season. They also spent their first pick in the draft on Duane Brown a tackle from Virginia Tech. He can play both right and left tackle and should see significant playing time early on. MY PREDICTION- 10-6, 3rd in AFC South, 6th seed in AFC, lose in the first round of the playoffs In the NFC I have a feeling that the Rams can shock a few people. Like the Texans they struggled staying healthy and protecting the quarterback last season. But unlike the Texans they should benefit from a relatively easy schedule (outside from a few games). The offensive line was terrible for the Rams last season. Mainly because Orlando Pace played in only one game. He should be healthy and ready to go by Week 1. Injuries really hurt the team, especially quarteback Marc Bulger. He played in 12 games and in those games was not himself mainly due to cracked ribs. Steven Jackson missed 4 games and wasn't quite as productive in the games he did play due to a poor offensive line. With those guys healthy and don't forget about Tory Holt, the offense should be more then fine. On defensive they should be in the middle of the pack(more towards the bottom), but if their offense returns to form then they could win a few games by outscoring their opponets. And then have done a couple of things to improve on defense. Like draft Chris Long with the first selection in the draft. His impact won't be known until the season starts but if he puts up around 8-10 sacks that definatley won't hurt the defense. MY PREDICTION- 9-7, 2nd in NFC West, 6th seed in NFC, lose in the second round of the playoffs Tags:
The Most Hated Teams And Players In Sports
Monday, July 21, 2008, 04:05 PM EST
[MLB]
The other day I was curious as to who everones least favorite team(s) and player(s) are in sports so I decided to ask. Everyone who do you hate the most and why? For me in the NFL its the Cowboys and Patriots. I hate the Cowboys mainly because I'm an Eagles fan. I hate the Patriots because they win all the time, get every call in every game, beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and beat the Eagles this past season which pretty much ended any chance at the Eagles making the playoffs. My two least favorite players in the NFL are Tony Romo and Terrell Owens for obvious reasons. In Baseball, as a Red Sox fan I obviously hate the Yankees the most by far. My least favorite player by far is Alex Rodriguez because well he is a huge tool and he is a Yankee. In the NBA I cannot stand the Detriot Pistons. I don't really have a reason for hating the Pistons, they did beat my Sixers but that was very expected and I hated them long before that. But there is something about them that I can't stand. I don't really have a least favorite NBA player, but for some reason Kevin Garnett and Manu Ginobili have always been disliked by me. In NCAA sports my least favorite college is Florida State. That comes from me being a Gator. It's hard to have a least favorite college player because they are all just kids and most are only stars for a year or two so I am going to pass on this one. I don't care enough to talk about the NHL or any other sport, but if you want to feel free to say who you hate in any sport including NASCAR, golf, Tennis, or anything else I am leaving off this list.

Pacman partially reinstated and the Broncos release Travis Henry
Monday, June 2, 2008, 05:56 PM EST
[General]
Pacman Jones was partially reinstated in the NFL today. He will be allowed to participate in everything except for regular season games. A final decision will be made on Pacman on September 1st. As long as he doesn't get into any leagl trouble he should be able to be participate in regular season games. But does it matter.....no. Does anyone really care.... no. About five minutes after hearing the Pacman news I heard that Travis Henry was released because of "commitment issues." Sounds like someone the Cowboys would like to sign. Considering they got locker room cancer Terrell Owens and criminal Pacman Jones. Why not pothead/lack of commitment Travis Henry. He's a perfect fit. 105 days until Eagles-Cowboys on Monday Night in Week 2 MY PREDICTION: Eagles 31-Cowboys 17 Tags:
