DW, Your Job IS to Love Your Job!

[NASCAR Chase for the Champ]
Darrell Waltrip cracks me up, sometimes. He goes on and on in his latest and greatest offering on FoxSports NASCAR, about how he loves his job and how every body cannot be appeased and that there are too many naysayers and complainers out there. Well, "duh", Darrell! No kidding! That's the message you and your fellow NASCAR cronies just don't get. You must think we're pretty stupid to just let everything that's happened in the past few years just roll off our backs and say, "that's okay, Darrell; we know it's just one of them racin' deals". We also know its your damn job to sell NASCAR to us! That's what Fox hired you to do!
You know, anymore, I put DW in the same class as Brian France and the rest of the idiots in NASCAR who have lost touch with reality. I'll tell you what; I have only watched two or three races this year, and I don't feel as if I've missed a thing. It's the same ole', same ole', week to week. It never changes by much. Those teams with the most money and the best talent, feather the gas pedal to make the Chase, and then the shootout begins. Those teams in the Chase that are on a role, usually end up winning the durn thing and NASCAR pats themselves on the back for another season well done. And why shouldn't they? After all, their sponsors are happy; the teams are happy; the fans are happy (for the time being) and we made lots and lots of money for ourselves! Yeah! And that include the likes of Darrell Waltrip. DW probably makes more money now, than he ever did as a driver.
DW, here's a novel idea, how about listening to all of those complaints and using your influence in a positive fashion to change NASCAR for the better. For starters, how about a getting a second date back at Darlington. Then, how about getting one race a year back at Rockingham. Who give s a crap about fickle California fans? Remember the L.A. Rams? And the L.A. Raiders? Exactly! DW, you could do so much more for the sport, but you've sold out to the almighty dollar instead, which means you're no better than Brian France.
There are plenty of fans out there who liked NASCAR just the way it was, thank you very much. NASCAR needed to grow a little, but it didn't need to grow as big, or as fast as it has. I know that more and more fans are staying home and leaving their seats for someone else to fill and I don't know what Darrell has been seeing, but the few races I saw had plenty of empty seats, and I hope that trend continues. More empty seats equates to NASCAR having no choice but to start listening to its fan base. Oh yeah, and then there's that Car-of-Tomorrow they're supposed to transition to next year. Why don't you use your pull, there, DW and show Brian where he can shove that COT. By the way, what make and model is that car and at what dealership can you buy this "stock" car?
