talk about clutch players? killer instinct? the best player on earth?

ask yourself if Mike would refuse to shoot in a game 7. Ask yourself if Mike would blow a 24 point lead in the finals.

throwing games? nah. Mike was so dominant the mafia forced him out of the league for a couple seasons.

oh, and the Boston Celtics? JAMES POSEY IS BY FAR THE BEST PLAYER ON THAT TEAM AND HE HAS BEEN THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PLAYOFFS. Without Posey this old-man team loses to the Hawks. And the Cavs. And the Pistons.

This will probly be my last blog about the NBA, and hence pro sports in general. Aside from my recommendation to get rid of the referees entirely, I also suggest that the NBA start scripting their games like WWE, at least theyll be interesting to watch then. This entire series has been fucking boring. Yawn. Im outta here. I almost didnt watch tonite but because I love the game of basketball (not the nba) I felt obligated. Aside from investing time and emotional energy in a fake ass spectacle, I really feel sorry for people who actually gamble money on it. Win or lose, youve contributed to making this great sport into nothing but a fixed, Mafia-controlled Hollywood special effect. Now, I dont have cable and I wont be getting that stupid box next year. In fact the only time I watch tv is during basketball. You know what that means? I WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER COMMERCIAL EVER AGAIN unless someone drags me to the movies, which I will resist. No, dont all rush to congratulate me

it's not strong enough to say that this Pistons team has tarnished their legacy. theyve disgraced it. either theyve been fixing games all along, or they are just really stupid and gutless.  either way, they will never win another title, or even a conf. final.  Rasheed is a clown with the emotional maturity of a 3 yr old. He says the NBA is WWF entertainment and he should know.  He was part of one of the most suspicious fixes in recent memory when the blazers, up 20, failed to score a single basket in the last 10 min. against the lakers. Fast forward to game 3 of the celtics series where the pistons took almost as long to score their first basket.  Went into a double digit deficit before trying to post Sheed. People talk about what a great job Dumars did dumping Ben but they havent won without him and they never will. 

honestly though watching this year the whole thing looks more and more fixed to me, and if these guys cant fix games without making it obvious, then Im not interested.  Ive always regarded it as entertainment, but Im just not being entertained as much these days.  I love basketball, but I wont be following the NBA as closely in the future.  thats because the NBA resembles real b-ball less and less every year.  Real ballers dont flop and whine and cry and have 2 fake injuries per game.  It's sad to see these 6'10" monster athletes infantilized by the game, whining and pleading and flailing.  But the truth is they are nothing without the $ystem and the $ystem is administered by the refs. Many writers including me have pointed to flopping as a problem, but the real problem is the refs and the flopping is a direct result of how they call games. 

next time you watch a game, take a good look at the refs.  Slick hair, cruel faces.  They all look like mafia hitmen.

There is only one solution to this problem: get rid of referees altogether.  Do it like the playground and call your own fouls.  And if you call weak fouls then youre not an elite player.

I dont want to hear stupid responses about how Im a disgruntled Pistons/Spurs/bobcats fan or a wacko conspiracy theorist.  I dont want to hear stupid responses about how we need the refs or there will be anarchy and rioting in the street.  Save that moronic shit for the other people who enjoy reciting entrained folksy slogans to each other and smearing each other with flourescent greasepaint and waving pom poms.

bottom line its just not as fun to watch.  everyone raves about a guy like chris paul, so I studied him to see if I could pick up some moves.  Every time he drives the lane its an offensive foul.  He uses his off arm as a battering ram to get through defenders, then clears them out once he's  gotten by. Great for him, but its nothing I can use. The guys in my pickup games would probably call that if it happend regularly, and it'll be hard to convince them that Im allowed to punch them with my off arm just because I have the ball.  same thing when he goes up for contested layups, he pushes off in the air.   Its the same with any superstar.  DWade's pet move was a walk and it got him a chip.   If there's one thing we learned from the Jordan-Bryon Russel incident it's that it's easy to win when the refs let you shove your defender to the floor.

I may switch to watching college ball, but probably not.  the main argument against college ball is the lesser quality of athlete and in-game decision making.  but ask yourself this:  What if you were KOBE, the very best basketball player on the planet?  And you had a three point lead with FIVE seconds left in the game?  Would you:

A.  dribble out the clock, avoiding the foul
B. hold the ball and wait to get fouled
C. Shoot a three immediately

Only if you pick C do you qualify to be the best basketball player on the planet.  think about it. 

    let him move to the hamptons and hang out with gay-z and the plastic bride, thats what he wants anyway.  and take that stupid ass headband bust of yourself with you.  I know theyre heavy, but PUT 'EM ON YOUR BACK Z!!!

CAVS IN 6

As soon as Lebron bricked that three, I sensed the cavs were going to lose.  Yeah, they were still up 5 with a minute to go, but thats the kind of selfish, stupid play that swings momentum.  What the *)&) was he thinking?  You can call it a bad decision , you can call it bad coaching, or you can call it what it really was:  an arrogant, screw-you shot by a bighead superstar who was getting outplayed by caron butler and big Z. 

maybe the problem is that lebron is surrounded by a bunch of sychophants who are afraid to tell him the truth:  YOU ARE NOT KOBE.  YOU ARE FOR DAMM SURE NOT JORDAN.  LOWER YOUR  SHOULDER  AND PLOW TO THE RIM BECAUSE THATS ALL YOURE GOOD FOR.  At least Kobe has Phil Jax to tell him something, its obvious to me that Mike Brown should have been fired way back before they even hired him.  Or maybe Lebron dribbling around for a minute then launching a @$^%$@# three was the play Brown drew up? 

LBJ, did I mention you are not Jordan?  Great job ruining Big Z's big night, jackass, were you threatened by his dominance? I think game 6 will be the perfect time for one of the Z man's patented 8pt (3-11), 3 reb, 5 foul games.  Lebron wants to play like he's all alone?  Let him play all alone.  He's the CHOSEN 1 remember?  See, I know that cause its tattooed in giant letters across his back. 

Dont get me wrong, the Cavs will still win this series.  But it should already be over. 

the sad thing is the suns' best shot to win it w/ Shaq was this year and without homecourt, they had no chance to win it this year. Lets see how many happy campers they have when it dawns on them that the Big Fat Mouth has no interest in playing the regular season. Their only chance is to dump D'antoni and get a real coach. Good ol Mike, totally unfazed by the criticism that he was wearing out his starters. Parker is raping your squad, but you'd never consider bringing strawberry in to guard him. Then again, aside from Nash this team has no heart from the management down. They came so close last year but instead of having faith in their system they panicked and broke up a team that was sitting on top of the Western Conference. It was pitiful watching them all smile nervously and pretend they like the Big Arrogant. And they get to do it all over again next year! and yes Ive said all along that Nash didnt deserve those MVP's. ONE DIMENSIONAL PLAYER. Yes he is a clutch shooter but racking up a bunch of assists on a no defense team doesnt impress me when he's passing to a bunch of guys that can dunk from the 3 point line. (maybe Im jealous cause I pass to a bunch of guys who cant make open freakin layups) Occasional flopping to draw charges is one thing but when the only form of defense that you can muster in any situation is falling down on your back and making the whiny face I cant respect that. On the other hand the Spurs are playing better with each game and that sound you just heard was the remaining teams' sphincters clenching. Well, as long as the Big Drooling Idiot loses Im happy.
