The Chicago Bulls dominated in the second half of the season and roared to the Eastern title and home-court advantage throughout the conference playoffs.
Chicago won the season series 3-1 over Indiana, and with the best defense in the league the Bulls are poised to bounce the Pacers in their first-round series that starts Saturday afternoon.
The Bulls will be the pick by most on the NBA betting lines against the Pacers. Chicago has also been a good bet on the pointspread lines, covering the spread in eight of its last 11 games.
Miami is coming into the postseason on fire and will be challenged by Philadelphia in Game 1 of their first-round series on Saturday down in Florida.
The Big Three for Miami average 71 points per game and will be a threat against any team. The Heat are likely to get most of the attention on the betting lines in this series, but it’s the 76ers who were 47-34-1 ATS during the regular season.
Orlando and Atlanta were both horrible against the spread this season and bettors will be keeping that in mind for this series.
Atlanta won the season series, but the Magic are on a roll and have the better record. Orlando is the series favorite but this set will be played cautiously on the NBA betting lines. These teams tend to pay out to UNDER bettors.
Boston has the experience but are an older club going up against a new-look New York Knicks team. The Celtics are the favorites in the series, but the matchup could end up being tight.
The Celtics swept all three games against the Knicks during the regular season, but New York is a solid bet on the pointspread lines; the Knicks were 46-34-2 ATS this season.
