College Gameday will be on a Pac-10 campus for the second time this year. Kirk, Lee, and Chris will be in Tucson, Arizona to watch the Ducks take on the Wildcats in a game that will more than likely decide who represents the Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl.

11Oregon @ Arizona: This is the game of the week in the conference. Whoever wins this game has total control of the Pac-10. Arizona will be looking to rebound following a loss to Cal last weekend. The Ducks are coming off a win over ASU, but will be looking to avenge their 2007 loss in Tucson where Dennis Dixon tore his ACL and Oregon’s National Championship Hopes were lost. Arizona is infamous for November upsets at home, but they will fall short

An era has ended. With Stanford's upset over the Trojans, it is now imminent that there will be a new Pac-10 champion. The Trojans have won the conference seven straight years and will need an absolute miracle to make it 8. This year the conference has shown how deep and truly talented it is. Just when you think everything is figured out, someone upsets someone else and shakes up the standings. It is good for the conference to have a new champion because it increases interest and makes it so that fans feel like their team can go to the Rose Bowl rather than just cheering for a Holliday Bowl berth.

Stanford @ 9 USC: The Stanford Cardinal upset the USC Trojans for the second time in three years, both time occurred on the Trojans home field. Stanford is a program

Week 11 presents some interesting match-ups and storylines. The Ducks will look to rebound after their first conference loss. The Sun Devils will possibly unveil a new quarterback. The Wildcats will look to keep their Rose Bowl hopes alive while the Bears see how they will fare without playmaker Jahvid Best. The final storyline will occur in the coliseum where Stanford looks to pull off an upset in its second straight visit to Los Angeles.

Stanford @ 9 USC: The Stanford Cardinal will look to upset the USC Trojans for the second time in three years. Andrew Luck and Toby Gerhart were both impressive in Stanford's upset of Oregon and USC was awful in its game against ASU. Despite this, the Trojans should win this game because they are at home. USC is the better

Week 6 continued to show that anything can happen in this conference. Everything went according to plan in three out of the four games. The exception came in Corvallis, Oregon where the Beavers showed that Stanford is not quite ready to a Pac-10 title contender. This week’s games were: 13 Oregon @ UCLA: Considering that the Oregon Ducks had scored ninety six points over the past two weeks, there were probably plenty of people that were surprised to see that the Bruins held the Ducks scoreless over the first half of football. This did not last very long however, as the Ducks returned the second half kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown. On UCLA’s first play from scrimmage in the second half, quarterback Kevin Prince threw an interception that was returned 32 yards for a touchdown. 26...

Week 3 was an interesting week within the conference. There were upsets of top 25 teams and overtime victories. This week had many headlines and notable stories including Washington State getting a win (when something this rare happens, it deserves a headline), Oregon snapping Utah's 16 game win streak, Jahvid Best's 5 touchdowns, and Washington's upset of the third ranked USC Trojans.

Cal @ Minnesota: The Bears continue to impress everyone as they ran their way to a 35-21 win at Minnesota. The Bears have now shown that they are the best team in the conference thanks to Jahvid Best. Kevin Riley passed for 252 yards on Saturday. He didn't

The second week of the season was huge for the Pac-10. The conference that is said to lack depth went into an SEC stadium as well as a Big Ten stadium and came home with two victories.  The conference looked good and performed better than I expected them to.

I'll start this week two review with the most intriguing game that happened on Saturday.

USC @ Ohio State: The 106,000 fans were loud and doing everything that they could to will their Buckeyes to victory. The Ohio State defensive line dominated the USC offensive line for 57 minutes. Unfortunately, a football game is 60 minutes. With an injured shoulder, freshman quarterback Matt Barkley led the Trojans on a game winning drive. Barkley admitted that his shoulder was "killing him," but he showed courage and poise

The most anticipated game this week was the Thursday night game in Boise, Idaho. This game was not only a bust for the viewers as it was full of mistakes, but it was also a bust for the Oregon Ducks and the Pac-10 Conference. The Ducks came out flat and never found their rhythm. We all know what happened after the game, so I won't go into detail. The problem with this game was that the Pac 10 is often overlooked and Thursday night was a huge opportunity to gain some credibility, but instead the Ducks got embarrassed.

Every other Pac-10 game this week went as expected. Although everyone expected LSU to beat Washington, I don't think many of us expected Washington to keep the game within 8 points. LSU won 31-23 at Washington.

Oregon State beat Portland State 34-7.

This week’s preview is coming out early because of the highly anticipated Oregon vs. Boise State game on Thursday night. This week’s Pac-10 games are:

16 Oregon @ 14 Boise State (Thursday Night)
Portland State @ Oregon State

San Jose State @ 4 USC

San Diego State @ UCLA

 Stanford @ Washington State

Central Michigan @ Arizona

Maryland @ 12 Cal

Idaho State @ Arizona State

11 LSU @ Washington

The Thursday night season opener is by far the most intriguing game in the conference this week. The Oregon-Boise State game features two teams in the top twenty and has the Ducks fighting for revenge after the Broncos beat them in Autzen Stadium a year ago. Not only are the Ducks angry about the loss, but they are also seeking revenge for a couple of late hits that

USC has finished the year with at least a share of the lead for the past 7 seasons and they look to push that streak to 8 as they are the favorite to win it again this year. However, teams like Oregon and Cal will challenge the Trojans for a shot at earning a BCS Bowl Berth.

The Pac-10 is often overlooked because fans think that it is a one team conference. The problem is that being on the west coast, the games start later and east coast fans are often unable to see how good this conference truly is. While the SEC is undoubtedly the best conference in the country, the Pac-10 will make a case for themselves this season as they prove that they are the second best conference in the country.
