While the first half of the 2009 baseball season will be remembered for a fatal car crash and a suspension for steroids to one of the game's biggest stars; there were plenty of milestones and great moments that made us all remember what it is that makes baseball such a beautiful game.

5. Back to Back: Chicago White Sox teammates Jermaine Dye and Paul Konerko both entered the season expecting to reach the 300 career home run milestone. They had a bet about who would reach the milestone first and on April 13^th, the teammates hit back to back home runs, giving them each number 300.

4. Pudge's Record: 2,227 games behind the plate, and Ivan Rodriguez became the all-time leader in games caught. Rodriguez has had an unbelievable career and there may not be a better defensive catcher in baseball
