In 2006 it was exciting because it was new. But, considering that this is the second time around for the World Baseball Classic, I was wondering how many fans are excited and truly care about this event? I think that it is exciting that we finally get to see baseball again, but the players don't seem to take this extremely seriously or anything like that. All the players that decide to play on the teams will compete and try to win it, but I feel that the number of players that turned down invitations to teams would be a lot less if baseball was still in the Olympics. With the WBC upcoming I was wondering if fans are attracted to it because of national pride? Or if people don't care that much and are just waiting for Opening Day? Opinions....?
