So I think I am starting to get a handle on the new layout of the blogs here on fox sports (I still prefer the old format though). But, I was wondering why everyone is so excited for the return of Manny? Why is the public so forgiving? People are excited and treating Ramirez like a hero. He is coming back from a suspension in which he cheated! Manny Ramirez is a cheater who has never apologized publically and yet we are all ready to forgive him, or so it appears. I do not understand it at all. Sure there were some boos in the stands, but the fan fare and everything in the media has been exciting and welcoming towards Ramirez. The Dodgers are even going to reopen "Mannywood" which is the section in the left-field bleachers devoted to Ramirez. He is coming back from a 50 game suspension for cheating, has never apologized, and yet is being treated like a hero. Everyone loves Manny because he has a sense of humor and is goofy, but it is time for people to realize that he cheated and we can't be so quick to forgive him.
Sorry that this post wasn't as thought out and organized as I usually try to be, but I was running short on time and have been trying to figure out this new layout.
Veteran
He hit a homerun in his 2nd game back....his fifth plate appearance. He apologized to the Dodgers early on in a private meeting with players and again before the game yesterday.
BleedLakersPnGI'm not condoning his cheating but he has served the league imposed sentence and returns with the best righthanded bat this side of Albert Pujols.
The game was in San Diego which is a short drive down Interstate 5 from L.A. and was a half Dodgers crowd.
As a fan, I'm glad he's back to help chase the World Series title for L.A.
I hated him when he played for Boston but after the hitting display he put on after arriving in L.A. last year, how could I not become enamored?
I guess it's a hometown team thing.
GO DODGERS!
