Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants: These division rivals split the season series. However, when the Eagles were able to knock off the Giants, the defending super bowl champs were missing Brandon Jacobs. The Eagles are looking good after a road win in Minnesota. Brian Westbrook is a very explosive player and the Eagles have one of the most talented defenses in the NFL. However, Brandon Jacobs will be the x-factor in this game. Eli Manning is also a good quarterback and despite not having the best receivers Manning will find a way to get the job done. The Giants will be moving on to the NFC Championship.
San Diego Chargers @ Pittsburgh Steelers: I'm going out on a limb here and predicting that the San Diego Chargers will upset the Steelers in Pittsburgh. The Chargers are on the top of their game right now and just knocked off the league MVP Peyton Manning. Phillip Rivers is playing at a phenomenal level and I think he will be able to get the job done even without LT. After watching Darren Sproles run all over the Colts last week I'm almost convinced that the Chargers are better off without Tomlinson for this week. The Chargers will be on the road, but they played Pittsburgh tough earlier this year in Pittsburgh and only lost by one point. Ben Roethlisberger is also coming off of a concussion and nobody really knows how he will respond and how effective he will be. The Steelers offense isn't strong to begin with and an ineffective Roethlisberger doesn't help the situation.
Baltimore Ravens @ Tennessee Titans: Here is my other upset pick for the weekend. The Titans were consistently good throughout the regular season, however, Baltimore played them tough earlier this year and had it not been for a questionable call late in the game, the Ravens may have won that game. The Titans offense is one dimensional and the Baltimore defense is so good that it will shut down the run and make Kerry Collins win the game, something I am not convinced that he can do, especially with a ball hog like Ed Reed in the secondary. The Titans have a good defense but it will not be at full strength because Albert Haynesworth is not 100%. This will be a low scoring game and as long as Joe Flacco limits the mistakes, he has the ability to make just enough plays to win this one.
Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers: The Cardinals are a great story and looked good in their win against the Falcons, however, that game was in Arizona and the Falcons play very good at home. They will have to travel this week and I don't think that they are good enough to beat the Panthers. The Cardinals are to inconsistent to win a playoff game on the road. Deangelo Williams and Jonathon Stewart are one of the league's best rushing combinations and they will run wild over this Cardinals defense. That's not to mention Steve Smith who is another weapon for this offense. Kurt Warner will have to have a huge day to upset the Panthers and I don't think it will happen. Panthers will move on and head to New York next week.
