Friday Night Opinion: Austin @ Orlando
Orlando was embarrassed on national TV on Monday Night. The Predators lost straight up at home on Monday Night Football as 12 point favorites. They couldn't do anything right offensively - dropped passes, penalties - a veritable litany of miscues from what is normally a very efficient offensive ballclub.
"This was one of the most bizarre games I have been associated with," Predators head coach Jay Gruden said. "It just seemed like we were out of sync all game. Our offense really struggled for the first three quarters."
We can expect a bounceback performance from Orlando tonight as they take on a mediocre Austin Wranglers squad. Quarterback Shane Stafford is unlikely to throw 26 incomplete passes, while losing both an interception and a fumble this week like he did on Monday Night. And the Predators defense has looked very much like an elite level unit through the first two weeks of the season, holding Tampa and LA to 27 and 37 points in regulation, a defense worth supporting in this price range.
Austin quarterback Adrian McPherson hasn't thrown an interception yet this year, but he's only tossed nine touchdowns in his first two games as the Wranglers offense is still a work in progress. Facing an angry Predators team with a top notch 'D', look for Austin to come up short this evening.
Take Orlando -4.5
