World Cup--watch it in the USA.

  First to Germany for the World Cup that has the best action in playoff right now.  The USA lost but is not out of the running to win their pool.  Brazil is a team that always brings highlights to Sportscenter.  And contrary to some sports writers opinions the World Cup is by far the best playoffs right now.  If the Heat were winning the series I would write about how Wade is the player that Shaq needed in Los Angeles.  The Stanley Cup playoffs has Carolina of all teams one win away from the lifting the Trophy, if Edmonton were winning I would be among the first to write how great it is that the Cup is going to Canada and Coach McTavish is the coach of the year win or lose.  The World Cup if the US wins would give the sport marketabliity some much needed money and new audience.  For years FIFA has sought to break ground in America.  That is happening.  With youth soccer leagues on the rise and the games being broadcast on ABC, ESPN and ESPN 2, television is saturated with all 64 games.  Soccer is the action to watch right now, the team from Brazil does not expect to play the US team.  I hope this showdown does happen.  It would show that soccer can bring team rivalry, intensity and excitement.  And for traveling music on the flight to Germany listen to a Scorpions CD.
