Sabresmeetstanley posted to his blog recently some writing that he titled "In Dire Need", in that he mentions how he would like some college sports, hockey, some horses that are racing.  Then refers to the long wait we all have for fall.  He likes baseball but there is not much to write about, as I commented on his blog, "until the playoffs."  So I had an idea based from his blog -- summer I like it and do not.

    Why I like summer.... baseball games with friends.  Going to Cedar Point and enjoying the roller coasters and over priced food, then needing a large glass of water afterwards.  Summer brings iced tea sipping or gulping.  Naps in hammocks, and longer days outside wtih the kids -- nieces and nephews in my case.  It is a great time having to wipe sweat away from your brow, and swat mosquitoes from your ears and arms.  Fireworks are nice to watch after a baseball game and finish the second hot dog you bought for the spectacle in the sky,  now I do not eat or drink to much; I forget to bring antacid tablets most of the time.

There are some simple reasons why I do not like summer....waiting for the start of Hockey, college sports, NFL, the World Series, and the NBA.
