With no Nextel Cup Series race this past weekend, we decided to forego our normal Power Rankings routine and focus on the owners.
Joe Gibbs showed his stuff a couple of weeks ago when he showed up at Chicagoland to set things straight between squabbling JGR drivers Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin. It seemed to work, as Stewart won the ensuing race, his first of the season.
Rick Hendrick has seen all four of the drivers in his charge win races this year, and has Dale Earnhardt Jr. coming aboard next season.
Richard Childress has three top-10 drivers racing for him. Jack Roush has shown the business smarts to partner with the Boston Red Sox ownership. DEI has merged with Ginn Racing.
What do you think about the current group of Nextel Cup owners? Who's the best? Who's the worst? What would like to see them do differently?
