It was a landmark day for UCLA fans yesterday- and of course since I'm a proud alum, you have to sit quietly and smile while I show you pictures of my beautiful little child.  First, our #1 team in the country blew the doors off Michigan.  It's one thing when you hear Ben Howland tell you "It was a really gratifying win," but it's a complete other when the opposing coach fluffs your pillow:

"I don't think anything could have beaten them the way they played today."

Needless to say, now you can imagine why I'm in a bit better of a mood than Billy Madison after bagging Veronica Vaughn. 

Later in the day, Chiefs safety and UCLA alum Jarrad Page made Andrew Walter look like...well, Andrew Walter.  He had 2 interceptions and a sack, a game John Lynch would be jealous of, maybe not quite, but still, it was pretty ballerish.  To give you an idea of who Jarrad Page is, he was selected higher in the MLB draft which has like 127 rounds than he was in the NFL draft, which of course has just 7. 

At that point, if you weren't convinced the day was made for UCLA, Jason Kapono led the Heat with a career high 27 points to victory over the Warriors who were led in scoring by Matt Barnes.  I don't believe two ex-Bruins have led opposing teams in scoring in the same NBA game since Walton and Jabbar were playing, when 'fros, mutton chopps, and ass-shorts were fashionable. 

For good measure, the day was topped when news came in that the Governator broke his leg going Picabo Street in Idaho.  How does that round out the perfect day for UCLA alums you might ask?  Karma for cutting funding to University of California students with disabilities.
