"I'm just real disappointed in myself for reacting to it the way I did," Brown said. "Fans are going to be fans, but my top priority is my teammates and my coaches. I kind of went into a shell a little bit and didn't carry the threat of a shot even when they kept giving it to me. I'll take the blame for that. The confidence wasn't there."

Say what Kwame? You're taking the blame for that performance? Wow, that's an honest to goodness grown man move. It sure is funny that guys who never take responsibility for their own mistakes can get off free from the fans, but a guy in Kwame instantly becomes the scapegoat for the problems of an entire franchise.
Kwame sucks as a starting center. Seriously, I'm not going to sit here and try to tell anyone any different. I do however try to take a different look at situations, and I think it's a bit ridiculous that so many fans are taking out their frustrations on Kwame when it really isn't Kwame's fault.
We looked like we were a championship contender, and all of a sudden our star center goes down, our best defensive player goes down, and we got blasted at home by our biggest rivals. I get it, I'm a Laker fan too, the situation sucks. That said, what in god's name does one bad game by Kwame have to do with that? He's a fine back up center, and a bad starting center. This isn't breaking news.
In the grand scheme of things, Kwame had a bad game against the Suns. His turnovers were extraordinarily high, his contribution was fairly low, add that together and you have a bad game. A BAD GAME. Every player has it, and Kwame had his against the Suns.
Is he overpaid? Absolutely. Is that his fault? No. Does it suck that we gave up a solid guy in Caron to get him? Yeah. Was it a completely understandable trade? Absolutely. He's a big body and we were overloaded with SFs at the time while lacking in the middle.
Keep in mind, Kwame is the same guy who two seasons ago was a force against the Suns and was one of the main reasons we took it to seven. There's no reason he can't put up 10 and 10 with increased minutes.
Kwame had a bad game, get over it. He owned up to the game like a man, and that's all I ask from anyone. If Kobe owned up to making a mistake with his rant this summer, I'd love him for it. Booing him doesn't help, and I don't see how anyone who considers themselves a Laker fan can boo this guy.

"On my team everyone is going to be successful because that's how I play the game."

Not much to say about that, but it's just refreshing to hear a player want to win with his bunch even when the going gets rough.
