In a small quiet town in Florida, there was a girl who loved her Florida Gators.  Not only were the Gators her favorite,  but she loved all the world of college football.  Then one fatefull Sunday night in October an EVIL took over.

The EVIL had invaded all of the computers that calculated the BCS standings in all of college football land! On Tuesday when Gator girl awoke, she thought she was just dreaming, only to find out that indeed the EVIL had been real.

The hauntings effected everyone USC, Florida, Alabama and all of the Top 10 teams.  It appeared that the only team that was safe was Texas.  Hopefully the nightmare will not continue long.  It has been rumored that there is an exercisim planned for October the 27th.  Let us all pray that poor Gator Girl and others throughout college football land can sigh in relief when it is done..........

JUST A LITTLE HALLOWEEN FUN!!

Not a fan of USC however I am very confused by the standings. Especially Florida's standing after the womping we put on LSU.  Something has screwed with those computers, it may not be "EVIL"  but something is not right.  We all know that BCS is not perfection, but this is %&*#!@@@@ up!!

  I LOVE college football.  I have waited almost 6 months already for it to begin.  I have my schedule ready, I have fully viewed the roster and I have been secretly building my own line-ups in my head. I have the dates of the important games so that I can take off of work. (MY bosses hate when I stare and yell at the TV in front of customers)  The forks, plates and Gator pasta salad are ready and waiting to be put to the test on a fine Saturday afternoon.  So, my question for you, what are you doing to get ready?  Is this all baseball all of the time driving you mad? Are you already talkin' trash about this years team?    I can't wait until the end of August!!!! GO GATORS <<<<<

Some might have noticed that I have been a bit scarce around these parts lately, but it's not because I don't care!  I have been planning a trip to Ireland for close to a year now, and the countdown has begun! 

In 10 days, my friend and I will be on a plane en route to the Emerald Isle.  This was our 30th Birthday prensent to ourselves.  Guys.....for a girl, 30 is a BAD year.  So, we decided to drown our sorrows in Pints of Guiness and the finest Irish Wiskey a euro can buy. The sounds of traditional music and the sites of history and beauty will be a nice distraction from the realization that we aren't in our 20's anymore.

Here is where I throw in some sports to make this relevant.  This is the time of year where Ireland is bustling with festivals, horse races and sporting events.  We are missing horse races by days in a few locations, but we are going to catch some Irish football.  This is a combo of Rugby and Soccer.  Talk about  brutal..... I can't wait!!!  Europeans love their sports, so we made an effort to see an event in a stadium so that we can feel the excitement. 

I will also be driving. According to other travelers, this is a sport all on it's own.  I have been told to expect to lose a mirror, and at least a hub cap.  I am going to take them all off before I leave the airport!!!  Only one in six people have a drivers license, so it will be a combat situation.  I will be on the opposite side of the road and on the opposite side of the car.  Two strikes against me already.  I also have this "Big Ben, Parliament" scenario running through my head.  However, I took a tutorial on roundabouts that could prove effective.

So wish me luck.  I will pop in from time to time, but I need to focus on final planning.  Ahhh I can't wait.  14 days of no work and all play!

While at work, my co-workers and I were pondering the lucrative buisness of sports.  If I had won the lottery or something, I would totally buy a sports franchise.  Our only deabte was NBA, NFL, NHL or MLB?  We all agreed it would be a football team.  Simply more merchandise and more butts in seats.  Another debate was player salary.  Would we want a sport that players were not well paid so that we could rake in the $$$$?  Most of us still agreed with an NFL team.  What would you buy?

I have been known to chug a double shot of espresso before a 5K run.  About mile 1.5 my stomach rebels and I ask myself, did I really need caffeine that bad?  The answer is a resounding YES!!!  We have caffeinated water and other beverages, but now America will have something else.

The wonderful people of London now give us SHOWER SHOCK.  This my friends is a soap that packs the wallop of 2 cups of coffee.  It's wonderful pepermint smell helps with wake up process.  Within 5 minutes of your morning shower you will feel a pleasant, clean, caffeine buzz.  The stimulants get absorbed right into the skin.

This may save me the next time I have a morning run.  I will be alert and clean.  I may have to wash multiple times a day.  It will certainly keep my teeth white if I don't accually have to drink the stuff.  This could be the best coffee substitute yet!!!
