A response to MLS to return to San Jose next year This ,in my opinion, is not a very good move by MLS. San Jose is a great city but has already had and lost an MLS team so i feel there is other deserving cities that MLS should look at. I will get to those citis in a second but getting back to San Jose and why it should not get a team is pretty clear from the article. It says that for the first two years they will play in a temporary home and they have not even got planning permission for their stadium. Shouldn't these thing be already sorted before announcing that the city has been awarded a franchise.
The cities i believe might have been a better fit are Portland and Seattle. Seattle already have a stadium worthy of MLS while PGE Park with some rennovation would give the soccer mad fans of Portland the highest level of soccer that they have been craving. Come on guys Lets have a look at the Pacific Northwest next time round.
