    Amazed and Ashamed

Monday, April 7, 2008, 03:25 AM EST [Michael McDowell]

The COT CANNOT be denied, by air or land. (It's yet to be tested on sea.) ....but what about the tires? Michael McDowell's backup car was, obviously, not as fast as his primary. (It's the tires.)  I do not believe that this has anything to do with the cars. (it's the tires.) I must point out that this seems to re-enforce Tony Stewart's claims that there are tire problems. Think about it, or if your from Canada, think aboot it- McDowell rolled like a freight train, as he skillfully kept the tires off the track, (tires are for landing which he used after  the appropriate amount of flips)but when forced to keep all four on the track, he eked out a mere 33rd. (Which also  re-enforces the fact that flying is faster than driving.)

To Quote the Mac Daddy of all Mac Daddies: We kid because we care.

To Quote me: The more I love you, the more I tease.

Now to ashamed- It is a sad day when Yates Racing has to advertise and 10 mega-teams of 4 are openly foretold. I am trying to help on the Yates thing, but I don't know if I an sink any fish. Any of you who are are know a business owner, think of the history. It is no longer a one sponsor car, do not think that just because you're small you can't sponsor. Yes, they would love a full time major sponsor, but that doesn't mean they won't be just as good with your logo, even if it is only for one race. TO SPONSOR YATES VISIT http://sponsoryates.com/

Anyone who wants to join me in my toast visit the site.

I know I haven't been able to do a lot here, but I am disappointed that none of you have joined the fantasy league. I tried to make it a public league. but it wouldn't let me. If anyone wants to join, I am collecting things for a prize package. I will be in the league, but my standing will not count. Anyone who joins after the first segment will not be eligible for any prizes or team member status. League name is: WFO RAICNG FANS    Password is: COToyJr

Also, remember to join Cindi's club and send me your links. I haven't heard anything from Tony's camp about the fan club's "Thank You", but will have pics of the framed pic and card up soon.

    Why I Haven't Said "Cindi"

Friday, March 14, 2008, 11:06 AM EST [General]

I hope I have not offended or upset anyone by not mentioning Southern Cindi. The past 8 months have been very hard for me, thus my abscence from all of my media projects and duties. Cindi passed just before I had my last surgery, and others felt I should not be informed until I was heathy enough to deal with it. Since I was told, I have not cried yet, which I know means I am in denial. It is time for me to, as Cindi would put it, take the good and go on.

Many of you know that my website has the "Official Southern Cindi Fan Club", but few know that Cindi was the best friend I had. She was the only person who I could talk to about anything. (and not worry about it ending up in the Enquirer":) I know many felt this same link to Cindi and that is what made her special.

Although I am still limited to the amount of time I can work on the site, I plan to add a feature to Cindi's fan page called "My Cindi". It will feature links to blogs about Cindi, your comments, and photos of Cindi or Cindi with you. If you have any Cindi pics you wish to let us post, a link you want put up, or just want to post a comment, e-m me at cindifan@seeing20twenty.com

Those who wish to join the fan club, please let me know what name you want listed on the club page. When I started this fan club I told Cindi that as long as I had a web site there would always be an "Official Southern Cindi Fan Club", I plan to keep this promise. Anything that gets posted will always remain.

I do plan to make membership cards soon, but as I have limited funding, please be patient.

Most of the site has not been updated since last year, but to see Cindi's page as of then click here.

Tuesday, February 5, 2008, 06:47 AM EST [General]

Can't go into details, but I am back. This is the first chance I've had get anything posted anywhere, so I will e-m or post more as I am able. I want to thank all of you who have sent kind words and prayers.  I have been unable to work on the site in some time, but I hope through the baby steps I will be taking in the near future, thet we will get back on track.

For now this is the first step- a fantasy racing league for all those who wish to join. The league is designated a private league, but that is purly because I was unable to open a public league.

The password is a combo of the three top stories, at the end of last season and the start of the new one-  COToyJr

I am working on collecting a few prizes and some type of bonus for league members who stick it out for the whole season.

If you have any questions e-m me, leave a comment, or go to the site and use our contact form.

I have been getting my e-m's and snail-mail, thanks. I hope you don't think me ungrateful, for I am far from it. It just seems one thing has happened as soon as one thing seems cured. I will try to get on the site and at least post something. Please be patient,

P.S. Contrary to what the paps want you to believe, I am not in re-hab nor have I been in re-hab with any of many stars they have attempted to tie me to.

This is a Fox Sports Fantasy League. The league name is WFO Racing Fans. The password is COToyJr

    The End Is Near...

Saturday, June 16, 2007, 09:45 PM EST [General]

I'm beginning tp believe those guys with the cardboard signs. All the changes have to mean something. The change in the chase? The "COT"? Michael Waltrip not qualifying? Jr. leaving DEI? Jr. becoming team mates with Gordo? Folks, this is not "silly season" anymore, (sorry Jay) this is serious! The world as we know it is coming to an end. Can we, as survivors, make the new world a better one? Or are we just stuck with what they give us?

When it comes to the "COT", I must say I was pleasently surprised. I expected a lot more problems and a lot less racing. What I found was exactly the opposite. The races were exciting, and very, very few got knocked out because of the cars added features. I did, however, miss getting to see the open wheel, almost Sprint Car style towards the end of the Bristol race. These cars stay together too good! If that doesn't prove it's safty and durability, I don't know what will.

Everyone knows my thoughts on Mikey, and it looks like he may be headed in that direction. Let's see if he can be an owner.

What will become of the Jr. fans? Jr. has betrayed the very byline of the club- HATE HENDRICKS! Maybe he is a little smarter than I gave him credit for, that or he has a bigger pair than I thought. He said he wanted to prove to himself that he was either a champ or a chump, his choice only proves that he's willing to face the truth, either way. I have said since the beginning that Jr. has finally grown up, well this proves it. He's putting it all out there and he will either fail or suceed. At least he's man enough to admit this is a test and I'll take the grade, bad or good. I think Sr. is very proud.

This is a goldmine for Hendricks and Gordon. It can only be good. How can you hate your man's teammate? Jr. may lose a few over this, not all are team players because of the driver. Those he does lose, though, I'm sure will not even leave a scratch on the body of the Jr. Nation. (I still don't get those who claim to be such die hard fans of Jr. and Sr., yet they have no clue about all the ties between the three. If you claim to be a fan, at least know what you're talking about.)

The bombs are exploding all around us. In the "off season" as we dig out of the rubble, I only hope that we can rebuild this sport. We have to get back those we lost to all the changes. The world will change, so I guess NASCAR must to.

P.S. The #8 does belong to DEI, so Jr. must find a way to buy it, or he'll be in another number.
