A new GM; A new era for Kansas City?

Tuesday, January 13, 2009, 07:20 PM EST [Kansas City Cheifs]

Hello sports fans, Hello Chiefs fans!

Scott Pioli VP of New England's player personal come to Kansas City. Excitement runs through my mind and my heart after researching who Scott Pioli is and what he has done for New England. Does this truely mean championship titles are in store for Kansas City and their fans? Let's hope so. But the next question is what will happen to coach Edwards, his coaching staff, and all the work that has been done to start rebuilding this franchise with young talent has begun their career a NFL pro players? Is Pioli on the same page as Clark Hunt? Will the new talent stay in Kansas City or will they be pushed to the sidelines by veteran free agents? Will coach Edwards be able to finish is last contacted year in Kansas City or will there be a new coach?

I personal would hate to see all these young player leave K.C if Pioli decide to recuit veteran free agents. Yes, there is advantages to have veteran players but these young players are finally start to "gel" as one team. To break them up or push 'em to the sidelines for veteran player would be unfair. We have a lot of good young talent that could take us very far for a very long time. I truely hope Mr. Pioli does a wonderful job here in K.C and I hope to see a lot of returning players from last season, but I also hope he view the upcoming talent in the senior bowl and drafts well for the Chiefs in the '09 draft.

As for coach Edwards I am very border line. Meaning that in a way I'd like to see coach Edwards finish his last contacted in K.C just to see if he could advance this young team into a championship game, but yet I feel as if his time here is up? He made a lot of decisions that he either should have went for/ not went for. (example: the first meeting with the Chargers. Chiefs were with in one point of tying the game and coach Edwards tries to force a two point convertion which would have give the Chiefs the leader and possible the win). I don't know! If there are any other fans that would like to commit feel free. Let me know how you feel?

    Go Chiefs!
