Hello, sports fans and let me be the first to walcome you to 2008, albeit almost 36 hours prematurely.

I expect to be blogging on a variety of topics throughout the new year, beginning with a weekly "Bottom 10 in Sports" feature that highlights (lowlights?) some of the more notable underachievements in sports. Futlity, after all, makes for fertile territory in the world of sports commentary and analysis.

I'm also kicking around ideas for some other ongoing features, possibly including:
