    He's Back...

    Saturday, July 26, 2008, 12:39 PM EST [CSTV.com]

So the last time I remember posting an entry, I was sitting at my cubicle in an empty New York City office on a Friday night, typing vigorously as the minutes ticked away on my final day at the now-defunct CSTV.com.

I had spent the spring of 2007 covering the Duke Lacrosse team in its recovery from the false rape and sexual assault accusations that had nearly swallowed it whole and then four months later, became the Web site's college basketball editor for the upcoming 2007-08 season.

From conference media days to preseason tournaments at Madison Square Garden to one final hurrah in San Antonio for the Final Four, I lived, ate and breathed college basketball for six straight months.

Fast forward three months ahead, and I'm living a very different life now in my native Los Angeles - driving six-lane highways, chowing down on In 'N Out burgers (on occasion perhaps) and working for this Web site that you just happen to be browsing at the moment.

And while making a living in a newsroom is guaranteed to keep you on your toes -- even in your sleep - I'm hoping that this space can be a place for us to discuss anything and everything about college sports (though I'll be mostly focused on football and basketball with the occasional baseball or lacrosse story).

Of course, let it be known that our opinions will differ from time to time, but that's not what really matters at the end of the day (or does it?).

In all seriousness, it's important for us to be open about discussing our feelings on the latest happenings in the sports world (in this case, the college sports world), and I invite you to join along with me in doing that here.

With school still out for summer, we're about six weeks away from the start of the college football season and with each day we take one step closer to another fun-filled year of BCS (more like BS if you ask me) controversy and six-month coaching campaigns for who deserves to be No. 1 in the country.

On the hardwood, things are pretty slow right now (that is, if you're not into following the recruiting trail), and with Team USA getting ready to head to Beijing for the 2008 Olympics, most of the basketball community will have its sights set there.

My sights, however, will be stuck on the college football and basketball landscapes for the time being, so for more on them, check back here as much as you like.
