I guess we can Finally say it's almost football season. I just wish the preseason wasn't so long. I am hosting another Fantasy Football League this season. There are 19 open slots with your name written all over them. So come on Greenspire, Jokerswild, SRMgenius, ANYONE who wants to join.  The league name is Blogaholics Anonymous and the password is donkeyshorts. If you have any problems finding it just let me know and I will manually put your team in. If the need arises I will form another league to accomodate everyone interested. Are you ready for some football? I know I am.

Holy cow! It has been one hectic year so far, with moving TWICE, running here and there, and a bunch of other stuff on top of work. It makes a person wonder where the time has gone, and when will things start to settle down. But all of that is forgotten when you see your baby girl smiling at you while sitting in your lap. Mr and Mrs ILOVEFOOTBALLMORETHENYOU welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world this last January We now have 2 boys and 1 girl, and our family is now complete.

  There have been a few things in sports that have caught my attention over the past 6 months. First let's start off with my beloved Sooners, another loss in the BCS Championship. At least they made it. Yeah sure! a victory would have been great, but I  remember the Schnelenberger and Blake years also. We don't want to go through that again. Manny Ramirez taking female fertility drugs. How disapointing is that? What kind of performance is he trying to enhance anyway? Maybe he needs to hook up with Chaz Bono and they can figure their problems out together. Shouldn't Donte Stallworth get more punishment than what he did? After all Michael Vick did almost 2 years in the pen for killing dogs. This is just another case of money talks. I would think a human life is pretty important, much more important than a pay-off and a plea bargain. The NFL needs to slap on some punishment for this also, if they haven't already. After all Pac- Man didn't kill anyone. The roof collapse at the Dallas Cowboys training facility lets me know that the Cowboys are ahead of schedule. They usually don't collapse till early December. Ha! Ha! Ha! I still wonder what Jerry Jones was thinking, taking Stephen Mcgee in the draft instead of free agency. Oh yes! Sammy Sosa testing positive for steroids. Does this really surprise you any?  Just a few years ago he got caught with a corked bat. No sympathy here.

  Congrats to the Gators, the Steelers, the Tar Heels, the Penguins, and the Lakers. I wonder how stoked Greenspire is about his Steelers? It is a little over 2 months till football season kicks off. Hooray for that! I will be hosting another Fantasy Football League this year, so come one, come all. Maybe 2  leagues if the turn out is good. I will also be hosting a college and pro pick-em this season too. That will give us die hard football fans some more competition and bragging rights to look forward to. Everyone is welcome to join.   I am getting sick and tired of hearing all the hub-ub of  the poor little shorthorn fans TO,d that they are not the Big 12 Champs, and are not in the National Championship game. After all Mack Brown voted for the tie-breaker system too. It,s like Forest Gump always says ( life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get. ) That was the case this year in the Big 12. Get over it. But what really erks me though is all of these Sooner fans who actually believe that Texas got screwed. These are probably the ones who listen to all the garb that comes out of Herbstreit's and Corso's mouth, along with a few others. These are probably OU fans that cheered for Texas in the Rose Bowl against USC for the championship 3 years ago, and who are gonna root for Okie State in the Holiday Bowl.

  I don't ever hear of any Longhorn fans or Cowboy fans rooting for OU when they are in the spotlight. How many of you Ohio State fans root for Michigan, or vice versa? How many Bama fans root for Auburn? I think you all catch my drift. Is it just me or are you suppose to root for your rival nowadays? This is really weird. There are only a few other teams I even root for in the Big 12, Texas Tech, ( because Mike Leach is a genius who should be getting more job offers than he has, which is another story for later) and Colorado because if my son doesn't get into OU thats where I hope he goes.

  I am gonna watch the Holiday Bowl, and I am gonna root for Kelly Scott's Ducks, and I will be rooting on Ohio State in The Fiesta Bowl, in which Ohio State will win Because they are the underdog. The underdog has won the last 3 there.

 Sooner fans need to just set back and be thankful that we got the breaks we needed to play in Miami this year. We need to be talking about if coach Stoops will pull a rabbit out of his visor and FINALLY win the big one once again. We need to be talking about, will OU's defense be able to shut down that spread offense that Florida has, and will the high power offense of OU be able to pick apart that quick defense of Florida's. We need to talk about stuff like that instead of whiney stuff, like Herbstreit said this about this and that, and that Texas got hosed. What Bull Kaka! Get your priorities straight people! That's all I am asking. If you do this it will make this long drug out break go quicker.

  I am picking OU to win this game. There hasn't been anyone besides Texas to really challenge this offense, which by the way is playing alot better since DeMarco Murray has finally found his old self. And for the fact that I think this whole Mississippi State deal is gonna get ugly with Dan Mullins and Florida,and Miss. State, which will be a big distraction. And I think If OU stuffs the middle on defense they will shut Tebow down. I hope I am right.

  I am so sorry to hear that you are going to prison. (he he he). It really astounds me that you have avoided it for so long. It is too sad that you can't keep looking for Nicoles killer on the golfcourse anymore, or get back your sports memorabilia. I know, I know you feel like your the victim here, but you aren't. You have spoofed pretending you are a slasher, and even wrote a book on how you would have killed Nicole and Ron if you were the one who did it. Now you tell me who the victim is!

  I saw your tears in the courtroom. They looked like crocodile tears to me. Were you crying because you finally got a conviction against you, or do you have a guilty conscience and are about to succomb to the pressure? Which one is it? I would really like to know.

  I want you to remember that when you are feeling so low, and you think no one loves you anymore. Don't worry!  Just remember one thing. BUBBA loves you, no matter what!
