Well, hurray! It's finally the end of July, and all of us college football fans are chomping at the bit. I love college football, and hope to post several times on my thoughts. Also, if you post on college foootball I'll more than likely end up at your site.
I thought it best to start with the SEC, since that's my home turf and what I know the most about. Part of this has appeared as comments on other blogs, so if you think you've seen it before, you probably have.
My picks:
SEC WEST
1. Auburn. (Best schedule, experienced QB, solid coaching.)
2. LSU. (Best talent, experienced QB, the jury is still out on the coaching.)
3. Arkansas. (Pretty good schedule, with tough teams, but most of the tough ones at home. QB is the biggest question. Coach on his last chance.)
4. 'Bama. (Average talent by SEC standards, new QB, coaching overrated.)
5. Ole Miss. (Interesting program, appears on the rise. We all know Shaeffer's a talent at QB. Can Orgeron get the job done?)
6. MSU. (Crooms is in a tough spot.)
SEC EAST
1. Florida. (See LSU)
2. Tennessee (Always loaded with talent, can they bounce back? Fulmer needs to get it done.)
3. Georgia. (Somewhat of a rebuilding year, but never count out the 'Dogs.)
4. South Carolina. (Spurrier outcoached everyone last year. Can he do it again? Because the talent is not quite there yet.)
5.Kentucky. (Moving up the ladder in the SEC is tough. Alot of returning players, some talent. When does roundball start?)
6. Vandy. (Jay Cutler, where are ye now?)
Your thoughts?
