Finally, a little drama and old school racing. The Carl and Kyle show should sell some tickets at California for next week's race. If NASCAR doesn't do something stupid, that is. NASCAR has the perfect storyline going into the Chase thrown into their lap, and, as usual, they'll screw it up by imposing some penalties on Kyle and maybe Carl.
They need to let boys be boys, and see what happens. Carl has already whined that he's probably going to get wrecked. This is his backhanded way of begging NASCAR to penalize Kyle this week before Kyle gets the chance to wreck Ms. Edwards' baby boy. Personally, I feel, that Joe Gibbs will have already given Kyle the "Big Picture" speech, and Kyle will be the professional that it takes to win a championship.
Bristol is over. Edwards won, and it's time to move on to the next race. Kyle's been racing with a chip on his shoulder all year---it just became a boulder. Watch out NASCAR, he will not coast to a title now. This is just what he needed to put the fire back in him to win every race. Thanks, Carl you just made sure that Kyle will win the championship.
So, to my fellow Busch fans, calm down, it's not the first time a race was lost this way, and it won't be the last. I guarantee that Kyle isn't wasting his time dwelling on this. It's not like he's only won one race in two and half years, or something. Anyone watching the race Saturday night knows that nobody passed Kyle---cleanly---all night. This will turn his normal competitive focus into tunnel vision, just in time for the Chase. Thanks,Carl.
I'm still on the beach, in FL, so my replies to comments will be spotty.
