    There once was a major league hitter
    Who kept baseball writers a-twitter
    He claimed he was clean
    No syringes were seen
    And he became increasingly bitter

    He never failed when he was tested
    'Cause he swore he never ingested
    But his hat size ballooned
    As he hit shots to the moon
    And dozens of pitchers he bested

    At all his critics he was starin'
    Thanks to the burden he was bearin'
    What he wanted to do
    Before he was through
    Was surpass the record of Aaron
