Old Sprinter, I have to disagree...to me, the Singapore race course looks like a cross between the old Long Beach course and no man's land on the east side of the Berlin Wall.  Concrete, wire fence, and barbed wire.  The "glamourous" skyline is invisible, and the race is a sleeper.  Ugly and dull.  IMHO.

F1 under the lights is spectacular. They should try to do more.

Sprinter, yeah, u r right the start of any race is exciting, but especially an F1 race, so much horsepower realeased so quickly, hard to predict what will happen.

It looks like there will be a race in Montreal again next year. I have been to an F1 race in Montreal and I can recommend it. Just don't order any headcheese with your breakfast. It seems to be part of a traditional Quebec breakfast, but I will pass on that. LOL

I think I could make that Montreal race, thanks. I have had to help make headcheese when I was younger and it shall never touch my mouth again.Super Happy

F1 starts are as exciting as they are dangerous.  Rember when JJ Lehto stalled on the grid and Lamy smashed him?  Horrifying what can go wrong on a standing start with those machines.

Thanks!!! The start of any race especially F-1 is so exciting whether your watching or driving. I also love the smell of the fuel and the tires. I don't really care for the politics of any type of racing. I hope to see an F-1 race someday soon; have been to 50 or more Indy car races and thousands of sprint, midget and stock car events. I have seen an F-1 car and it looks like it was made by a Swiss watch maker; so precise. Super Happy

Old sprinter, nice drawings you post.

I  love the spectacle of Formula One, the cars on the starting grid surrounded by lovely grid hotties, the roar of the engines at the start, the squealing brakes and huge thumps as the cars hit the Armco (whether from getting squeezed on the first turn, or later to help their teammates), the chicanery and deception which takes place in qualifying (What do you mean I can't park my car in the middle of the corner???), the fantastic drafting (not), the frequent passes for position (not), but most of all I love the huge real life soap opera that takes place off the track (German prisoner orgies, $100 million fines, a wizened old man holding up cities and countries for untold billions while ramblin' on about what a good administrator Adolf H. was, sex, lies and videotape, LOL)!!!! Oh my gosh, what would I do without Formula One?????? How would I amuse myself ????? I would probably have to turn to booze, drugs, and sex addiction !!!!  Oh, so I guess things wouln't change that much. LMAO

[url=http://community.foxsports.com/old_sprinter/gallery/view_gallery.one?pid=76366037][/ The rule makers should put the motors back up front and make them more retro looking. That would appall the Europeans but I personally would find it better. I'm sorry that the Shoe isn't going race but better safe than sorry. Lots of G force to hold up under and be in complete control.Crazy
