I finally found us; I was in London a week ago and while there finally read what the cretin dwark had actually said; effectively it was the Deutsche Volk - the German people - who persuaded Hitler to do all tbose nasty things. Horrible enough that he is so awfully misinformed, worse that he actually believes that garbage, worse still (even more worser!) that he had the ghastly shortfall in judgment to let it come out of his f--king mouth. If he were CEO of any other company in the universe he'd have been canned as soon as a Board meeting could be convened.

The more Bernie opens his mouth, the deeper a hole he is digging himself into. He seems to be putting his mouth into gear before he engages his brain. He needs a professional PR person standing next to him at all times, telling him to STFU, Mr. Dwark, sir. LOL

Bernie has tried to control the damage with an interview in "Bild", but a lot of damage has already been done.

It looks like the heat is well & truly on The Dwark now - I hope this time he does not manage to wriggle out.  Yes, Adolph "got things done" all right - he exterminated 6 million Jews, along with assorted Gypsies, homosexuals, "mental defectives" and other "undesirables."  In the process, he almost destroyed Germany as a nation, not to mention Europe.  And Bernie says he was a "bad dictator" just because he lost!?!?!  Thank God he lost - I shudder to think what the world would be like today if he had won!  Humanity should give thanks for Winston Churchill and reserve its deepest condemnations for guys like Max's daddy, who would gladly have collaborated with the evil Narzis.  Bernie seems to buy into the false premise that "Der Fuhrer" really did not know what was going on, and all the "bad things" were done by "evil underlings" - give me a break!  This guy is well & truly around the bend, and needs to go!  NOW!!!!

I have seen other occasions where Bernie was in trouble and he has always managed to wiggle (or buy) his way out of it.

But I'm hoping that this time is different. It's not just the racing community that's upset, he's got the World Jewish Congress on his case. Now, Bernie has not been shy about sending races to arab countries for lots of oil money, and this stuff might actually play well there. Still, Bernie has some heat under him and that's a good thing.

My views of Bernie are well-known.  He did some good things for the sport in the safety area many years ago, but more recently he's been a total disaster, sucking money out of the sport in massive amounts, pulling races from classic venues and just generally messing things up.  His battle leading FOCA against FISA and Jean Marie Ballestre just led to the dictatorship of Max at the FIA and Bernie as "commecial rights holder," which I think is much worse for the long-term health of F1 than Ballestre would have been.  It also shows that Bernie doesn't like "strong leaders" who don't play along with Bernie.  I think his comment about Adolf just shows he is a power-mad megalomaniac who views himself & his buddy Max as "good" dictators.  He's a little fascist who thinks he knows what's best for the world.  I also think it shows he shares a certain political viewpoint with Max, who I am inclined to believe shares a lot more of his daddy's political and social attitudes than he lets on.  I think it is correct to say that his comment will bring some attention down on him from people outside the motorsports area.  Maybe it will turn the heat up enough under him to get him out.  Then his comments will turn out to have been a true blessing!

Is Bernie losing it????

Here is what he said:

Updated: July 4, 2009, 11:40 AM EDT html_removed html_removed LONDON (AP) - Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone faced criticism from politicians and Jewish groups Saturday after being quoted as saying that Adolf H*tler "got things done."

In an interview with London's The Times newspaper, Ecclestone expressed a preference for "strong leaders," citing former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Max Mosley, outgoing head of Formula One's governing body, as examples.

He was quoted as saying that democracy "hasn't done a lot of good for many countries -- including this one."

"In a lot of ways, terrible to say this I suppose, but apart from the fact that H*tler got taken away and persuaded to do things that I have no idea whether he wanted to do or not, he was in the way that he could command a lot of people, able to get things done," Ecclestone was quoted as saying.

"In the end he got lost, so he wasn't a very good dictator."

Ecclestone also said the West had been wrong to depose Iraq's Sadam Hussein, saying: "He was the only one who could control that country."

The Board of Deputies of British Jews told The Times that Ecclestone's views were "quite bizarre," and Jewish Chronicle editor Stephen Pollard said he was "either an idiot or morally repulsive."

Labour Party lawmaker Denis MacShane told the newspaper that the remarks revealed ignorance of history and "a complete lack of judgment."

Calls to Ecclestone's London office were not immediately returned Saturday.

Ecclestone, who owns F1's commercial rights, is no stranger to controversial remarks. He once said women should dress in white "like all other domestic appliances."

In The Times interview, Ecclestone said that had been a joke, adding "I would love to have a good lady race driver and preferably black and Jewish too, but they might take maternity leave."
