The Wooden Preseason Top 50 was released today and there are 13 differences from my ballot. I admit I should have found a spot for Austin Freeman on my list – and I would probably have made the switch and removed Yancy Gates if I had more time to do the list (I did it in about 30 minutes).

My biggest issue with the entire list is the lack of inclusion of West Virginia’s Kevin Jones. There’s No Way that Jones isn’t one of the top 50 returning players in the country (remember, we weren’t allowed to vote for freshmen or transfers).

In fact, I think Jones is one of the top 25 even if you include frosh and transfers.
