Robert Morris University has agreed to a deal with top assistant Andrew Toole to replace Mike Rice.
According to sources, Toole was offered the job on Monday and has accepted.
Toole, 29, has been Rice’s top assistant for the past three years at RMU as the Colonials went to a pair of NCAA tournaments and also earned an NIT bid.
Toole played two seasons at Penn and got his start with the Hoop Groop before spending a year at Lafayette.
He also recruited the talented young freshman backcourt of Karon Abraham and Velton Jones.
