It’s crazy how things work out.
Yesterday, Mo Cassara went from a Hofstra assistant who was nearly unemployed to the head coach of the Pride.
Today it’s American University assistant Robert Burke – who was let go by Georgetown out of nowhere a year ago – who will be hired as the next head coach at Mount St. Mary’s.
According to sources, Burke will be officially introduced at a news conference on Monday.
Burke, 44, was on John Thompson III’s staff at Georgetown and also spent four years with JT3 at Princeton before he was forced out after the 2009 campaign.
Burke has also been an assistant at Siena, Loyola-Marymount and UMBC.
